"Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore."
[Psalm 16:11]
Is it as good as winning the lottery? Is it better?
Well, first . . . Jesus is at God's right hand. Jesus is fully pleasing to our Father. So, He could be the real
"pleasures forevermore".
Now, about if it can be like the lottery > you might put money in and lose; so in order to win, you try again. But you always do the exact same thing, of putting in an amount of money, usually getting the same zero result.
But if you get into a relationship with someone > I mean a romantic relationship that is of God > first, you put in love and prayer and devotion to God and caring for your companion. Already, just by so loving you have pleasure. But then you put in more love and caring prayer and, of course, forgiving. And you get stronger in love. Then you have more to give, more to put in. As you keep putting in, you keep getting more and more true pleasure of God's Heaven-beauty, Heaven-quality love. So, even though at first there are things you don't see, it is a sure thing you will see more and more good as you keep putting in
But with a lottery, most people will get zero. Of course, if the money is used to help people, then this is a benefit; we love others as ourselves; so we are pleased that someone benefitted. But how much do you give to someone, by helping some one person get millions of dollars and statistically winners are in debt not long after winning even millions? Ones might, for example, buy a mansion with most of the winnings, then have not enough or no money for taxes and maintenance and security and bills.
But, in a love relationship you share with God, you can keep getting more and better good, as you keep putting in what is good.
But a lottery can be the same old result, every time. Even if you win, what about everyone else? Winning can feel so good, but what do you have that is alive and growing in love?
I think watering my lady friend's basil plant and trimming its leaves while seeing it keep growing can be more interesting, because of how we are relating and sharing about this

It is personal; the lottery might not be personal, and you are just taking someone else's money. What did they do to earn that money; how many children do they have? But with love we keep putting in and getting more and more and better and better . . . than all that money can buy or get us for pleasures
