What does it mean when someone says you have a sweet spirit over you ? Are there any biblical references any one can think of ?

No I don't believe there are any scriptures on that, none that come to mind anyways. Once time some one said that I have a gentle spirit, I think what they are referring to is your character .... or that how I understood it anyways. I could be wrong though.

One example would be Stephen in Acts chapter seven. He told the people the truth about who they were, stiff-necked, uncircumcised in heart and ears, always resisting the Holy Ghost, and they stoned him to death for it. But note verses 55 and 56, that while it was all going on he saw the glory of God in heaven and Christ at the right hand of God. While he was being persecuted and put to death for speaking the truth, he had a sweet spirit upon him.

So it is my understanding. I have often hear the expression, "sweet Jesus." Indeed, it is sweet to know him. And the Spirit of Jesus Christ is the Holy Spirit.

I think when someone says there is a sweet spirit on the other person, they mean that person is constrained by the Spirit of Jesus Christ. Thus, Stephen, although he was going to be stoned to death, had the Holy Spirit upon him and a vision of what was awaiting him, and he met his end in complete peace. I hope it can be as sweet for me when my time comes, or any time persecution comes my way -- but I am hopeful Christ is coming back soon.

I would say they see the fruits of the Spirit in you.
