It seems widely held that people should be treated as an end in themselves, as opposed to a means to something other. Is this a mistaken view?

SOS asks: "How does one know when one has pleased God, precisely?"
This seems like a silly question.
Everything in Life is subjective.
If I think it's true, then (for me) it IS true.
For me it is impressed upon me through the Spirit. Not just what is pleasing but when I fail to please him.
The spiritual part of me. That is separate from the flesh.
I have gained my knowledge through my relationship with God , it is in him what I want to be.
I know through him I am more than flesh and body.
No answer I give will answer you question SoS. It just leads me into another one of you questions, it's like the song that never ends, it just goes on and on my friend...........Does this answer the question? Is it your flesh that knows of him, or your soul?

It is all of me , heart ,body and soul. He completes me.
the dissatisfaction provided by said answers are due to not hearing what you want to hear . what part of It is all of me , heart ,body and soul. He completes me. , do you not understand or makes you dissatisfied ?This much seems apparent; I ask for an answer, recieve a cryptic one, answer for an explanation and recieve something else which I need to ask the meaning of. Tis not my eternal questioning, but the dissatisfaction provided by said answers!
A pastor told me this many years ago, it still explains things better than anything else I've come across.Does this answer the question? Is it your flesh that knows of him, or your soul?
