Okay, so I'm the starving Bible college student, lol, who's trying to pay her way through school. Anyways, I've been working for a very popular transcription (typing) company for a few years now but because of the economy they are laying people off and I was one of those who got laid off.
Something that has been on my heart for quite some time now is how I can mix my profession (typing) with what I love doing (ministry)--hence, I thought it would be a great idea to start a sermon transcription company.
I was wondering though what you guys thought of the idea. Do you think there is a market for it and that churches would actually be interested? I work in the office in my home church and so I'm very accustomed to writing letters and cards, etc., but I don't want to embark on a business prospect if there's just no market for it. What do you all think? Does your church do this kind of thing?
