  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Okay, so I'm the starving Bible college student, lol, who's trying to pay her way through school. Anyways, I've been working for a very popular transcription (typing) company for a few years now but because of the economy they are laying people off and I was one of those who got laid off.

Something that has been on my heart for quite some time now is how I can mix my profession (typing) with what I love doing (ministry)--hence, I thought it would be a great idea to start a sermon transcription company.

I was wondering though what you guys thought of the idea. Do you think there is a market for it and that churches would actually be interested? I work in the office in my home church and so I'm very accustomed to writing letters and cards, etc., but I don't want to embark on a business prospect if there's just no market for it. What do you all think? Does your church do this kind of thing?

Well someone thinks so...

Digital Sermon Transcription - Home
Faith First Sermon Transcription Service - Sermon, Church, Business, Teleconference, General, Seminar, More - Tennessee - Faith First Transcription

I don't know if it's a profitable business or not, but people out there are trying to make it one.

Your best bet would be to go to churches in your area and ask around. Start with any churches who offer sermons online. Your service could create a pdf file to complement the sermons they already have up. See what they think.

You could also apply as a secretary to help type up other notes, periodicals, etc.
