  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

what do you think?

If your tongue was meant to be forked then it would have been forked. In my opinion, that probably would be the smartest thing to do. It could get infected for one thing and then they would have to go in and chop your tongue off. :D Seriously though, it's not something I would do, or advise anyone to do.

I've never heard of anyone forking their tongue..
Does it do exactly what it sounds like or whats the purpose?

Yes, it's exactly as it sounds. I saw a guy on "Ripley's Believe it or Not" one time. I can't remember the title that he'd given himself, but he was
having lots of plastic surgery to become more reptilian in appearance. The forked tongue was just one of the many transformations that he'd already gone through. It was pretty creepy. :(

It's another one of those things you do for shock value. First it was peircing your tongue and now that everyone is doing it, they had to come up with something else. They split the tongue right down the middle with a scalpel (SP?) and you have to relearn how to talk and could have a permanent lisp. It does look dark and creepy. I've seen it most among those who have lots of tattoos and body peircings and I have noticed a few people here talking about tattoos and peircings who have claimed to have them so I was just wondering if they think this is going too far?

I've not seen anyone with forked tongues but some do split the tongue so it will grow longer (when it heals and grows together). Think KISS - the rock group.

I think it's pretty gross and I'm tattooed (once) and pierced (ears - 7 times)
