Thanks for sharing that great link! It is amazing to think just how complex the brain truly is. I saw a program on TV where they were doing a similar procedure on a patient who had Parkinson's. She had severe tremors that stopped almost completly when they turned the stimulator on. Hopefully this procedure will be approved for the US.

ACK! Sorry didn't mean to upset you at all. The thought of someone drilling into my head is kind of yuck. But the thought of being free is amazing. I am going to print out the article and show it to my Dr I think.

I had heard of the brain pacemakers and also magnetic therapy and now magnetic seizure therapy. There are so many exciting advances. the newest research in now looking beyond the neuronal synapses and neuro chemicals to the reactions inside the cells to the neurotransmitters and some are showing reversal of physical cell changes in the brain. it is an amazing time in neuropsychiatric research and they keep repeatedly proving it is an illness not a character issue!!!!
