Not that I agree with what was happening there, but when does the BATF handle child abuse? Isn't that a department of youth and family services matter?

Hi,

What happened in Waco raises some serious questions.

1. All the children survived the slaughter appeared to be in very good health and mental condition. This puts a question mark on the abuse allegation.

2. When David Koresh was the gun store, he met an AFT agent. He invited the agent to go back with to inspect the compound. The agent refused the opportunity.

3. Koresh and many of those people regularly jogged in the morning. The agents could have napped most of them outside. They didn't.

4. CS gas was used by federal agents during the siege. CS gas was prohibited to use even during war.

5. The forensic report of the bullets found in the bodies matches the guns used by the federal agents.

6. 3 personal bodyguards of Bill Clinton died at the compound. Why on earth were they doing there?

I don't know why that group was singled out. We might not agree with their believes. But it doesn't give anyone the right to kill them.

What happened after and who benefited from this event?

Within weeks, a law that bands assault weapon was brought to congress and passed.

President Clinton said of the incident, 'it should serve as a warning to those who join cults or religious sect...'

Are we back in the age of Inquisition already?

Wow, do you have a source to that quote?

The statement was made in a White House press release after Waco. There are several sources that quoted this. The actual quote:

'I want to say as I did yesterday, I am very sorry for the loss of life which occurred at the beginning and at the end of this tragedy in Waco. I hope very much that others who will be tempted to join cults and to become involved with people like David Koresh will be deterred by the horrible scenes they have seen over the last seven weeks. And I hope very much that the difficult situations which federal agents confronted there and which they will be doubtless required to confront in other contexts in the future will be somewhat better handled and better understood because of what has been learned now.
...
There is, unfortunately, a rise in this sort of fanaticism all across the world. And we may have to confront it again.'

The whole statement: http://www.skepticfiles.org/waco/clinton.htm

What a bad man. Regardless of what was going on there, women and children do not deserve to die like that. They don't deserve to die period.
