Jesus pulled me out of a grave. I know I will have to account for my life to my Creator and King, like every other human being. This is called Judgement, and I am personal friends with Jesus (or am crazy, who knows) because the only thing that matters is a personal relationship with Him. I try to follow Him fervently, running toward perfection at the end of the road where I can be pulled close to the Father in Eternity, but none of us are perfect. The point is, are we getting to know our savior or is it kind of an ATM situation where we want something?

Correct! A relationship with Christ is something that will always exist. But the fact is, this cannot exist except we live holy lives.

Ben Leevey, why cannot the relationship exist without holy lives? Imagine a guest of your house pooping on your living room floor. You likely would not invite them back, am I right? Jesus cannot pull us close to Him when we are diseased with the wickedness of this world, hence....come as you are, but then change occurs. Then, you learn right from wrong, you endeavor to become like Him: Holy.
We, no none, can claim righteousness. Our righteousness is as dirty rags to Him. But why? He's perfect. In our human state, we are not perfect, and we've all fallen and sinned, but! There is hope! Even as the worst sinner on the earth, Jesus came and offered me relationship. There was an expectation that I would *want to change to have a friendship, and sure enough, I did!
I'm so blessed and thankful that grace, favor, and forgiveness, though undeserved, are granted freely to all. God would that none should perish. That's why He sent His Son!
