• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I'm a graduate student in chemistry. My stated career goal has always been to become a professor.

Lately I've kind of lost interest in these things. These days I like to sit around and read. I'm hoping this will pass once I move out to LA. It almost feels like nothing holds my interest anymore. I suppose this is the concept of a "quarter-life crisis."

I'm planning to go into the ministry with the United Methodist Church.

My son is only 16, but I am really proud of him. He give this questions alot of thought, too.

His first goal was to be a special education reading teacher, because he knew first hand what the needs are for autistic spectrum education. He is concerned though about being able to fulfill the requirements for this job, such as parent/teacher conferences, and staff/conflict/communication issues.

He loves music, writes songs and plays guitar, and so he would love to be able to do something with that.

Lastly, he has worked throughout high school in the book room filling orders and delivery them to the classrooms, and really loves that, so he thinks some kind of warehouse work might suit him.

Hi, I'm new on this forum. I'm desperately searching for help and answers concerning my 27 year old daughter and is going on with her. She is 3 months or so from graduating with a veterinary degree from Ohio State - and has been ready to quit. Longer story. Not on my home computer right now. Will check later.
