I agree . He should have more spiritual understanding than NBC CNN and ABC put togetherseekthetruth909 said:I don't know much about him. I heard Dateline and a few other news shows did an expose on him and I watched a special on CBC about him. http://www.cbc.ca/fifth/main_miracles.html#resources
I think we should leave the judging to God.
God Bless

That is what I think of Benny Hinn

As anybody on this board who reads my posts will attest, I am not a sychophant for charismatic preachers; if a guy is wrong, I may not name his name, but I will address the error of his tactics.rapturefish said:I have heard all manner of scathing attack on this man and his ministry. Yet at the same time I have heard of a couple of healings from anecdotal evidence through his ministry and I believe the gospel is being preached at Hinn's crusades.
What I have not heard much of though is a perspective from the P/C side of the debate. Anyone here have a (respectfully posted) opinion here about the man and his ministry? Do you believe the man is genuinely anointed to heal? Are his prophecies and teachings acceptable or are they errant? is he simply trying to operate in areas that are outside his gifting by preaching and prophesying? Do you believe the criticisms are more a result of certain ministry practices that need to be fixed up?
I could go on, but please, feel free to post your thoughts and opinions and in a spirit of grace.
cheers,
I don't get your point about condemnation and anger, but it may be because its late.TasManOfGod said:The Matman
It makes you quite angry when you hear condemnation doesn't it.
The interesting factor in your account is the fact of the anticipation of the people. This could quite easily equate to what people would sense about Jesus. From that point of view much of the work that is done is because of the faith of the people. It is no wonder that those who dont expect much should not be disappointed if they don,t receive much..
I took a sick friend to hinns "ministry".The Lord spoke to my very core I remember as though it were yesterday.I went out to get a drink and in the halls were all kinds of wheelchairs, beds etc...people in the pit of utter despair.I saw the longing in their eyes.He saoid "do you see all of these people? They will be leaving the same as they came.My heart was crushed.Needless to say I cannot and will not trust that "ministry".When the people were brought to Jesus none left the same way NONE! God Bless. Be wise.rapturefish said:I have heard all manner of scathing attack on this man and his ministry. So I trust that when you pray for sick people, they all walk out of wheelchairs.seekaftertruth said:I took a sick friend to hinns "ministry".The Lord spoke to my very core I remember as though it were yesterday.I went out to get a drink and in the halls were all kinds of wheelchairs, beds etc...people in the pit of utter despair.I saw the longing in their eyes.He saoid "do you see all of these people? Typical is what you see has come after that post . If only people could grasp what healing from God is about. It comes from God, has already been paid or, but needs a deliverer. People must get their eyes off man as the source but still recognise his role.TheMatman said:I don't get your point about condemnation and anger, but it may be because its late.
Otherwise, the expectancy and faith of the people are a big thing. That may have more to do with it than Benny's faith or lack thereof. But then again, if they have faith in God---and not in Benny---then it will work.
I've watched his shows. and theres nothing that wrong with them.......TasManOfGod said:It would be good if some of his other critics actually watched a show or two as well.
