Why did you join with Christ.
Was it to go to heaven and be forgiven. That's why I signed up.
It took many years to be told that's not what we are signing up for.
Or maybe you signed up for the correct reason.

To pick up your cross and follow Him.
What does it mean. It means what it says on the tub.
You are going to give up all your rights. There are far to many Christians that think they have rights. If you are in Christ you have one right and one right only. To love.
You don't see much love among Christians today.

In here already I see staff had to add to an already existing rule. No goading why is that?
We are using the little icon to goad each other. For reaction. Or to add power to someones post you agree with. I am with Paul and I am with Apollos lol. So childish.

This is the very thing Jesus cant use you for all the silly bickering. many will be hurt at me saying this. There is a very thin line between what staff think is good rules and what is actually hurting us. There are so many well thought out rules that staff think will bring about a perfect little environment on the site. The Pharisees thought they could also do that in the law the keep adding to.

The problem with IMO is over 99% of Christians are still very much in the flesh and all because of all the confusion from all the 40,000 or so denominations who all think they are correct and you are wrong. Pathetic really/ Most of us think the one we go to is the correct one.

If we all did what we are told to in only one thing the church would grow rapidly.

That one thing is die to self.

To get rest from my sins and the whole world really. The more I think about it and the longer I'm here the more tiring it is, especially when you realize how much sin you've done and how much sin you're around (and that it's an offense to God and an injustice towards Him).

But we are called to go into the world. I rest in that. I love that. I love doing the works He done. Thats what we are really called to. We aint called to hide and keep it to our selves. God does not call you a sinner in the new covenant. We are in what we are in. He loves regardless.
If you are in Christ You are NOT a sinner. Your a new creation. All things are new. The old has gone.
Please dont think on your self or any Christian as a sinner. God does not ythink of you as a sinner. In fact He goes further and calls us sons. He calls us Holy. What sin are you talking about. The world . Well go share the good news. This is all so simple and easy.

The last note in this message seems the most important, and we surely need to exalt the Lord Jesus in all things. Love is indeed important, I agree, but that is often interpretive. Keep looking up, and hold fast the Gospels and Epistles, and we will at least be on the right path. Thanks for sharing!

As an addition to what I said here ---let me qualify that as: holding "fast the Gospels and Epistles" should be understood as ALWAYS honoring God-the Father, keeping the Lord Jesus daily in our thoughts, as we go forth and are studying the New Testament.
