What Christian music would you recommend?

Sorry if it's a bother, but i was just wondering.
Because i have never heard any Christian music, other than the hyms in church. I want to, but i don't know where to look, or what type to look for.

If anyone could tell me a good source of Christian music and where to get it from, i would be really grateful. :)

Kazaa is a good source of music.

*runs away*

Just kidding, of course. Most cities have a local Christian bookstore with a music department where you can sample music before you buy. A band's website may have samples of their music for download as well.

You say you haven't listened to Christian music before; how about secular? Do you have a favorite style? If you have a preferred style of music then it will be way easier to recommend something to you. Otherwise you'll just get a list of everyone's favorite music, which you can find in many other threads.

I agree with the above posters. Have you tried to find the Christian radio stations in your area...there may be more than one...check out what they are playing and write down the names of the artists you like...that is what I do...*S*
Also, if you have satellite TV you probably have access to christian music as well...

Yah, definitely depends on what kind of music you like. Not sure about radio stations or Christians bookstores in the UK but I'm sure they're there. Ever heard of Delirious?? They're from the UK and they are awesome! Other recs....

-Jeremy Camp
-Plumb
-Sanctus Real
-Jars of Clay
-Third Day
-Downhere
-Thousand Foot Krutch (if you like kinda hard alternative)
-Pillar (same as TFK)
-Strange Celebrity
-Switchfoot (definitely!!! awesome group)
-Audio Adrenaline
-dc Talk
-Newsboys
-Skillet
-Jennifer Knapp

Most Christian bookstores have a place where you can listen to new cds that are out and some have a cd database or library that has most of the christian cds that are out there or that they carry, and you can sample those as well....to get an idea of what you like. Good luck with your quest! There's great music out there :)

You know, I still like Kazaa, and I don't have any qualms with users as long as they use it responsibly. I used to get all my music from the net and burn it on CD's, but I've decided that I shouldn't steal music like that and so now if I download soemthing, it'll just be to see if I like more than just the songs that i hear on the radio. For some reason streamcasting stuff crashes my internet :sigh: .

But anyway, I really like MercyMe a lot (woohoo they're from Oklahoma!!!!). I also like FFH.
