Wasn't the sacrifice of Christ a redemption of sins and not a price to pay for existence. Everyone living and dead have or will exist outside acceptance of any savior.

Colossians 1:16
"For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him."

We would not exist if it wasn't for Jesus. The only purpose for our existence is to glorify God the father, you wouldn't be able to glorify him if he didn't sacrifice His son for you. Be thankful, always.

Whether or not you believe in God, you will either be able to glorify Him through acceptance of Jesus or you will be eternally separated from God. It doesn't seem like a good thing to be eternally separated from the God who created you and the universe.

God Bless!

One question. Do you believe in the trinity? I'm not a practicing Christian, though I once was. I was raised Jehovah's witness, if you are familiar with them and I do recognize the difference between those who accept and those who reject that understanding. I simply want to know your feelings on it so I can understand where yu are coming from. I've made too many mistakes here by assuming things of others and that's unfair to everyone here. These posts are not only for those who post but also those who read them.

I've found more interesting ideas for topics from questions that have entered my mind from listening to others.

That's a great way to approach anything! Don't assume, just ask questions first, you'll be well on your way to finding truth if you keep that mindset

Yes, I believe in the trinity.

Yes, I believe in the trinity.
I try, most of the time other people impatiences, but I try. lol

So God incorporates the Father, The Son and The holy Ghost. I know understand you more.

What exctly is, to you the Holy Ghost and what dose it do. I always assumed that it imparts understanding and guidance to thse who ask for it. I took the giving of tongues to symbolically mean that God gave to those who recieved him the words to say tat would influence others to accept God.

I remember that Moses had a particular issue with that and that's where Arron entered into the picture. I can't envision myself there, because that would be unfair to Moses, but when I read it, I think I would have noticed the fact that I was speaking to God and as such knew that he would give me the incite to say the right things to pharaoh. Then again it was God that hardened Pharaoh's heart. I understand that to be so that God's reputation whould be spread across the country, but I can't understand how stupid a person Pharaoh would have been to gone through all he did and still chase after the Israelites.

True freedom is not the ability to do anything that you want, but rather it is the freedom to do what is right.
Right is a ethical question that relates to the importance one places on those other than themselves.

Just my personal preference, but I refer to God's inspirational spirit as the "Holy Spirit". God made it possible for anyone to have access to His wisdom and knowledge when Jesus conquered death on the cross, all that is required of you is to believe in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and that He is your only way to salvation and righteousness. If you truly seek Jesus and ask Him into your heart you may experience spiritual attacks because satan does not want you to know the truth, but if you persevere and trust in Jesus you will be prevail over evil because it's Jesus who has defeated evil for you. A great saying to remember is Jesus + nothing = everything.

One of the greatest weapons evil has against us is self pride or self righteousness. When you start to have that feeling that you've done something that only you could do and no one else can take any credit for it. This is the feeling that satan likes to build up and pronounce because he knows God detests human pride.

Proverbs 16:5
"Everyone who is arrogant in heart is an abomination to the Lord; be assured, he will not go unpunished."

God allowed Pharaoh's heart to be filled with pride, so much so that Pharaoh even believed he was god or a god, this is the worst kind of pride. This is exactly why satan was cast out of heaven, he thought he was god and wanted to take the throne of God. Satan's choice to try and take God's throne was his own choice, God only allowed it, God did not cause it. God did create Lucifer to be perfect, but it's not God's will to control free will, thus he allowed evil, but only because his perfect plan is to destroy evil and reveal His truth to every created being in heaven and earth, in order to glorify Himself, which He fully deserves!

Ephesians 1:4-6
"For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves."

He has freely given us grace because of the One he loves, which is Jesus Christ.

I've always thought Ghost and spirit were synonymous. I've also had questions about people saying that all you have to do is believe that Christ died for our sins, but I also remember Jesus saying that Faith without works is dead. also there is the parable of the slothful servant. I always interpreted that parable as Jesus telling his disciples that the more diligently they spread his word the more they will be rewarded. The way reconciled the two is that believing in his sacrifice will open the door but spreading his word will let you walk through it.

This is very confusing and please don't go out on a limb to answer this, because I would rather you say I don't know, if you don't know. I'm not here to trip anyone up, that's not my purpose but there is a lot of stuff The Jehovah's Witnesses didn't explain.

I can see that. Pride makes you believe you don't need anyone, including God and that's not, in my opinion what God had in store for mankind. The idea I have about the statement of be fruitful is not just about filling the world with people, it also meant expanding thought, understanding and above all human kindness to eachother.

You're right Spirit and Ghost are synonymous, I just prefer Spirit. When I say you must believe in Jesus, I'm talking about a deep belief that goes to the core of your being. When people truly accept Jesus, it's often when they are completely humbled and realize they can't do it without Jesus and it's in that moment that they fully commit their lives to Him. The two most important commandments are clearly stated in the Bible:

Matthew 22:36-40
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

So when you love God with all your heart, soul and mind, all you want to do is serve and please Him. He fills you with His love which enables you to love even the most unlovable people that God puts in your life. So if you follow the two greatest commandments your works will be fruitful. God will sustain your faith, because he will pull you through your trials and renew your mind with His truth. When you truly accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior, you become a new creation, fully equipped to do every good work in the name of Jesus.

Galatians 2:20
"I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

A true Christian experiences trials everyday, just like everyone else, the difference is that there is no trial that they can not handle simply because they place their faith in Jesus who has conquered all trials, even death. This is the beauty of what it means to be Christian. It has always been about love and truth and it will continue to be about love and truth, even into eternity.

I believe all knowledge comes from God and the knowledge of Him is growing. However, the closer one gets to truth, the closer they are to destruction because evil is always right there trying to bring them down. This is why the end time tribulation will be the worst tribulation the world has ever seen, but Jesus Christ will come with the sword of truth and prevail! Amen!

There are certain freedoms we are allowed, but only while people uphold their responsibility to treat these freedoms with respect. There was not, is not, and never will be absolute freedom. You'd have to be a god of some kind to have that power, being free from other influences completely.

So I would say responsibility comes before limited freedoms, because without that responsibility, no one would respect such freedoms, and as such, those freedoms would cease to exist.

Pretty easy question for me. But it's all how you define the terms.

freedom is absolute which is why there can be limits. freedom is free and so it either is or is not or rather because freedom is, it is and it is not. on one level of reality there is limitation and on another there is not. freedom expresses itself in all kinds of ways.

the price to pay for freedom is freedom. father God denied his freedom and his sons freedom was revealed. the first two freedoms reveal a third freedom because God is love. this is why internally God is a Trinity. the Trinity is the endless center of all of reality.

an ignorant freedom means a hindered freedom. so lets say you are a creature and being a creature implies a capacity even though creatures are also know for their growth and degradation. thus without the creature functioning by the fullness of the core of reality and only functioning in 1/3rd, 1/3rd or 2/3rds of it, there is a kind of void which is then filled in by process of the creature becoming what it was not and in the same vein the son of God is crucified in the world and the son of God is the son of man, the second person of the Trinity is the Son of God. so creatures reveal God and God reveals creatures. and God contrast and revealed himself and the creatures are revealed by each other and by God. God is revealed by God.

and so limits and freedom functioning in their proper accord are not contrasting things.

The first shopper in grocery aisle has two choices about where to place their shopping cart; out of the way of others, or in the way of others. In this they have complete freedom. Someone coming behind them has two choices as well. If the first shopper places their cart out of the way the second shopper can freely pass, using their first choice. If the cart blocks their passage they can retreat and go around and access that aisle from the other end, using their second choice. The difference is that the first shopper has complete freedom of choice, the second is limited by the choice of the first shopper.

Of course the second shopper also has the choices of either asking the first shopper to please move their cart, or moving it themselves, to access their first choice, which would be to freely access that aisle.

Now, moving to the checkout.....
