In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Praying, Reading, painting, walking... CLEANING.

Good one, though I rarely volunteer to do it.

I have always found gardening quite theraputic - cutting the hedge or watering plants.

Exercise is also good: going running or swimming seems to clear my head.

Firstly, I have to get alone or I will be snappy!

I will most likely not be able to read until I get my thoughts out on paper or in a word document so that my mind won't be thinking itself in circles.

After everything is out, I will read (sometimes scriptures, sometimes not), pray, call a friend or find one online to chat with.

Oh, and snack!!! I try to limit this one, but I love salt and sugar when I'm stressed!

I paint or draw (watercolor, oil pastels) when I am stressed but have a bit of free time. Its terribly relaxing and I feel like it isnt a waste of time like when I watch tv. I also enjoy it because I'm not very good, so I just have fun playing with colors and just making a picture that I think is pretty. I also usually try to use colors that reflect my moods. This way, I can look back at all my pictures and remember the good and bad times. And remember how God has always pulled me though ;)
