What are your hobbies?

Just curious what most Christians have for hobbies...my wife and I seem to be the minority...hoping to see that's not true.

For me and my wife...we love to play computer games online and video games. We love going to the movies or renting from Netflix. We also have a few TV shows we really enjoy watching weekly (we rent some off of netflix also) We both love Christian rock and metal...i'm more the metal guy then she is.
From time to time we like to go to a good rock concert...when ever they are around here. (washington state)

I also love writing. I'm a script writer and also writing for a comic i'm starting. I also like to read comics. (used to be novels..but really enjoy comics lately because of a game my wife and I play)

I guess you could say we are more indoor type people and techy type people. (but we don't look it)

Mine was also computer gaming CD-Rom and DVD,plus a few online like Mahjongg at Candystand, several at skunksoup,LOL! However I have gone back to reading more[usually every evening and night]. I am really enjoying getting closer to and a better knowlege of God since reading the 12 book Left Behind series this past spring. Have read some awesome books since then and seen some awesome movies, like "A Man Called Peter", St. Patrick:The Irish Legend","Luther", "The Hiding Place" for the Christian themed ones, another hobby,I L-O-V-E movies! I just discovered this site in Sept,and am hooked on it as well. So to sum it up,this forum,reading, movies[which I am so lucky our library just keeps getting new and old classics on DVD, so no need to rent here] ,and now occassionally,computer games[wow I must have about 30 going to waste],LOL!
I watch very little tv,and it is usually Turner Classic Movies Channel,Travel,Animal Planet,Hallmark,TV Land,History channel if anything,none of the usual channels,but often the TV isn't even on,like now it is off.

I'm a quilter. I usually piece/quilt (both by hand and by machine) about 6 hours a day.
I also like the puter, and have a few online games i like. when the weather is good i walk or feed the fish in our pond. I watch very little TV but always watch "The Amazing Race", some of the Sci-fi programs ("Andromeda", DS9, "Enterprize",) some programs on the History chanel, and the Weather channel.

I have the first two seasons of "The Walton's" and several DVD's from the books of the bible (Passion, Book of John, Apocylipse), as well as all the Star Wars, and The Lord of the Rings series.
I also have all of the Deryini series of books by Kathryn Kurtz, and have read most of the Pern novels.

I was big into christian metal bands in the 80's like Styper, White Cross, Barren Cross...Have you ever heard of any of those head bangin' rockers?

Yeah. That was in my thirties. I used to wear black leather, studded braclets and crosses, Styper shirts. The "elders" in my old church told me I could no longer be a greeter because of the way I dressed. They said, "How old are you? 30? We know your trying to reach the young kids but you don't have to look like them."

Now I've mellowed out. I like celtic music, rock or traditional, Josh Groban, classical. I guess about every kind of music exceot most country music.

Boy! I could quote just about everyone here. I like anything artistic.I also write and direct plays.

NorwayUnn watches all my favorite TV shows. TV Land, Turner Classic Network, What a hoot! The Amazing race? I just started following that one. The Waltons? I grew up on that one.

Movies? Lord of the Rings, especially The Two Towers ~ Gandulfs (sp?) awesome charge, The Return Of The King ~Aragorn's coronation. yeeeeeessssss!
The Passion, yup, yup. yup! Go Mel Gibson! Oh yeah...Saint Patrick, the Irish Legend. I could go on.

Well,I spend a lot of time online praying for others and surfing around.And looking for pictures to use in my posts.


And I play video games too.I study as well.I play with my cat,and walk her.

My favorite band is Evanescence,I love Amy Lee,she is awsome.

Other than that,thats about it.

Hobbies....hmmm....well mostly I just end up hanging out with friends playing guitar or bass...but my hobby is being a webmistress for a couple of websites...other than that I'm always studying....but I do play Ace Combat 5 every chance I get...

reminded me that i went to see Sonicflood last year. what a totally great concert!!! I was definitely rockin' out right along with the teens, totally getting into it.

Hey I'm a mere 27. Never really got into the long hair..i'm more into the modern metal...only got into the 80's metal for a couple years. I'm more into bands like Demon Hunter or Still Remains (but then I'll listen to anything...rap, rock, acoustic, classical etc..) I do have a biker style leather jacket. And occasionally spike my hair..haven't had anyone at any churches say I don't belong at least. I can imagine when i'm 80 i'll probably still be the same..haven't changed.hehe


oh! I forgot to mention that working out is another of my hobbies. Though lately I haven't had as much time as I would like.

I have many,I love to listen to Third Day,Selah and many other Christian artists. I love flowers,so I'm a real nut about my flower beds. They have to look like landscaping(always wanted to have my own landscaping business),I am also crafty so I can do alot of plastic canvas craft,crochet and paint. I do scrapbooking and do neat clay projects with my kids. We have done many crafts such as oragami with paper folding,mosiac and such. I also love to play with my parrot and read!

As I think about hobbies, or what I like to do the thing that comes to mind is my computer...it has been a great outlet for me
I also love to listen to worship Cd's Martha Munizzi is awesome and so is Juanita Bynum!!! When I get the chance to control the remote I usually watch christian tv....love listening to as much as I can so my spirit gets fed.

This past summer was really good cause we got into camping so that is now a hobby too, I enjoy swimming and getting a tan and roasting marshmallows over a campfire.

Oh....lets not forget shopping....even if I dont get to buy anything much I LOVE Walmart

Hobbies? I like to paint watercolors and do photography, and sometimes gardening. I have little time to do very much these days, but hope to get back to the painting this winter.

hobbies? hmmm.... I am an avid reader, I like playing sports, my wife and I go to the theater and classical music concerts, jazz festivals, cultural festivals. stuff along those lines
