  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What are you reading?

I finished my last book (Do Chocolate Lovers Have Sweeter Babies?) and have yet to decide what to read next. I'm thinking of going with the Hunger Games, since it's so popular right now. It's either that or I'll go back to Frankenstein. I keep reading Frankenstein, only to stop when another book comes along to distract me.

I'm about half-way-ish through the first Hunger Games (which I started back in October, and then got distracted by other books lol)

I'm also reading Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, as part of my reading goal for this year. I hope to read all 100 classics that came free on my Kobo. Or at least the ones that I have never read previously, which cuts the list down quite a bit.

Right now I'm reading The voyage of the Dawntreader by C.S. Lewis. I decided to read the Narnia series again now because I didn't really understand them when I was a kid LOL. :sorry: I'm also reading Mere Christianity, but that's not really as interesting towards the end. I'm trying to finish it anyways.

Just done with The Hunger Games series; I've recently completed The Sorcerer's Stone and The Chamber of Secrets. I'll move on to the next Harry Potter books soon. Since I've never read them and have only seen bits of movies, it's all pretty interesting. :D

Hi sweetie! I haven't seen you forever!!

My daughter's class had to read that series in 7th Grade. There's a movie coming out here pretty soon. She loved the series!
Good to see you!

Just finished The Hunger Games and am about to begin Catching Fire.
(My sister sent me a copy of The Help, but I really like this trilogy so far and with the movie coming out, there are lots of spoilers floating around. So, I'll read The Help, which I've been wanting to read for awhile now, after I'm done with all three books.)

Soon to be reading - Spiderman: Blue

A story about Peter Parker/Spiderman (married to Marry Jane at this point) remembering how his last 'true love' Gwen Stacy asked him to be her valentine, and her ultimate fate. I've heard nothing but good things, so it's a promising read.

Today I read some of the book of John(Gospel of).

Interesting Bible fact:

-----------------------------------------------------
Of the names of those who wrote the gospels - those names mean:

Jews:

Matthew: Gift of Yahovah
John: Yahovah is a gracious giver

Gentiles:

Mark: A defense
Luke : Light giving

-----------------------------------------------------

And the word "Gentile" is the exact same word for "Greek"
