Rest in peace, Nanci Griffith.
Wow. He's still around!?! Haven't listened to any 2nd Chapter of Acts since the 80sGreat album by Matthew Ward. Love his hymns, too.
I don't expect he's still putting out albums, but I get the impression that at his local church he's still doing solos, maybe events, sometimes. I heard he had throat cancer at one time, too.Wow. He's still around!?! Haven't listened to any 2nd Chapter of Acts since the 80s
Looked him up. From his website: Biography | Matthew WardI don't expect he's still putting out albums, but I get the impression that at his local church he's still doing solos, maybe events, sometimes. I heard he had throat cancer at one time, too.
His last album, I think was 2006. Christmas album.
Yeah, I think he was mostly just a kid in the 2nd Chapter days. (Lol, back in the Vinyl and bellbottoms days). Do you also remember Phil Keaggy, and Barry McGuire —had album(s) with 2nd Chapter... I had all their old stuff when it was new.Looked him up. From his website: Biography | Matthew Ward
I would have thought he was older than 63, but apparently he got a very early start.
I never bought any Barry McGuire. I saw him in concert in PA (late 70s?). I must have 10+ albums of Keaggy. It took me while to give up on him, but the last few albums I bought were too "easy listening" for me. (ETA: I even have a couple of Glass Harp.)Yeah, I think he was mostly just a kid in the 2nd Chapter days. (Lol, back in the Vinyl and bellbottoms days).
