I’ve been on an eighties kick lately.

My father loved this song as a teen.. find it somewhat cool that his son loves it too. While his grandparents music for the most part is dated and not played anymore.. music from my father's generation will probably be timeless.

This song is about the black death..

Slightly relevant to the Coronavirus. Although I don't think they'll make metal songs about what we went through in the future. Maybe a dorky Ska song about how stupidly we handled it .. but that will be about it.. lol.

Sometimes I like to marvel over how much music has evolved during the 20th century. Cannot imagine another century ever again having such an explosion of musical creativity as that one.

Selena.. murdered by her fan club manager. Taken way too soon.

This song brings back a lot of memories from the late 90s. I had only sisters growing up and the movie Selena would constantly be played in my household. My sisters and I had a lot of inside jokes about the movie.. especially how creepy the father was portrayed regarding his daughter Selena.

Kind of been on a Leonard Cohen kick today. And no it is not Hallelujah. I love the guy when the mood strikes.
