  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Trying to get back to normal (whatever normal is) after having tubes stuck down my nose into my stomach for 24 hours. At lest it went south and not north. They would not have found anything

I had another stressy day at work!!! Yet I went to see Kingdom of Heaven tonight at the cinema with a mate!! It was a great film albeit quite long

Just heading to bed!! Having a BBQ with the church youth tomorrow in the day - the weather here has finally perked up a bit so we're going to enjoy the rare sun we get...

So far today it has been BEAUTIFUL outside.

Went shopping and bought myself my very expensive hair care products (I caved in after one week of dodgy hair with cheap shampoo and conditioner), and 2 pairs of fleecy pj's - they are SO warm!!!

Just going to chill for the rest of the afternoon - bit tired and want to kick back...

B's at soccer, so depending on whether Elm0 comes over or not tonight, we might go to the movies or something...

Well ,you wouldn't normally find me here on a weekend, but hubby M & little Miss S have gone out visiting for the afternoon - I'm home with my poor little Mr J, who woke me up at 6 this morning, played in the lounge for about an hour, then crawled into my bed and slept for another 2 hrs!! and has pretty much been asleep since then!! guess he's coming down with the bug that his family day care lady has?! When you've got a kid that normally spends 14hrs out of 24 'bouncing of the walls', a mum tends to worry when they have these days where they just want to lie on the couch and sleep all day :-( but he is drinking plenty of water & eating LOTS of mandarins (just as well there's something of a favourite thats in cheap season!)
hmmm....might go catch a few ZZZZs myself?

I've had a rather busy day to two...

thursday I had my last day of uni, worked, and then had a meeting in the night
friday had to drag my overly tired self out of bed for work, (with my regualr few hours off in the middle of the day) then straigh from work to youth. We had a 'mystery outing' ie none of the kids new where we were going! we did a progressiver dinner starting off at maccas, then over to the international terminal of sydney airport (including a visit up to the observation deck) and then lastly to krispy kremes. When we got back we had a sleepover with movies playing all night long... I fell asleep for about 90 minutes.. although as a leader you really need someone awake at all times (which we did do)... but i'm surprised i managed on even that much, since my body has had a lack of sleep for about the last two weeks. So I came home and slept for 5 hrs when I got home this morning...
