Today I'm bereft! Last night my husband went late night shopping and bought me a very expensive pillow. Why am I upset? Because when he came home, he unceremoniously threw Softy in the bin and poured the remains of my vegetable and barley soup on him (Softy) so I couldn't resurrect him. My husband has lately been scathingly and disrespectfully calling him names like as Lumpy, so you see what I mean. Softy has been with me through thick and thin. He even went to Bali with me in 1993. He later went to Nhullumbuy NT with me and to Tom Price with me last year. He's been on camping trips and generally just been my constant companion. RIP Softy

I know the feeling... I recently parted company with my oldé faithful sleeping bag who's been with me for ~9 years.... I tore him a new hole on a recent camping trip :'-(
But surely there was something you coulda done to prolong his life? I'm disappointed, Snuff. I thought you were more sensitive than that! ;)

oh... it's patched up.... the hole's now just a neat row of stiches.... but unfortunately it's now relegated to my indoor 'bag or the one I loan out for youth camps...

Watching the mountains behind my house burn and praying they won't come down to our homes nearby. The blaze has jumped from mountain to mountain and the helicopters are getting water from the ocean and dumping it on the fires, but it's only getting worse with the tradewinds.

Moth...Oh man...I FEEL your pain!:( My hubby KNOWS better than to ever touch the sacrosanct pillow!:) I feel the same way about mine...which is eons old, yet the best ever! (no name though....) He, himself, goes through and sleeps on whatever pillow comes his way. Strange, but true.
I'm hanging out at work and anticipating a rainy weekend in Vermont! blessings to all.....

I've been up since 7am.

So far today I went into the city for my regular beauty appointments (all about babies at the moment - my clinician is 21 weeks pregnant), and then went SHOPPING!

I bought a polo neck and earrings from Sportsgirl for $38 (instead of $60), Cleanser, Toner, Lip Balm, Breathe Easy Chest Rub and Soap from Perfect Potion for $60 (instead of $90), and the Notebook from Sanity for $21 (instead of $32). I also paid another couple of hundred off my Europe trip.

I came home and gave B a bounty to say thank you for being such a good carer for the past week. I'm at his house whilst he's at soccer, attempting to clean up a bit (he's a bit slack, and due to me being ill, I just haven't had the energy really). His mum wrote to me and I got the letter yesterday, so I'll be endeavouring to write back to her later today, as well as watch my new DVD...

hehe. you got up at 7am sasch! I got at 12pm  and wouldnt have gotten up if it werent for the fact the phone was ringing and no one was answering it (seems i was the only person home!) But I had no idea how late it was. I guess thats what i get for coming home at 2am last night when I'm not really 100% better... my body still needs sleep.

Today I'm going to try and write as much as possible of my 3000word essay for uni. yuck!

I'm trying to find the notes i just sorted through and then misplaced

Central locking is class  Not enough people have it and they get grumpy at me for not remembering to lock their door :p And y'know what? I've decided that I hate electric windows simply for the fact that you can't get the window down when the car is off - what a hassle!

Today I am editing my sister's friends' Uni assignment on a topic I have little knowledge on  but I do know sentence structure, grammar and writing techniques so I'm halfway there - the rest is up to her. It's actually making me kind of miss Uni *blink* That was a scary revelation!

Woke up in Christopher's bed (it's not what you think, he slept in his roommate's bed cuz I was not about to drive an hour in a storm) and received a kiss :) Got dressed and drove an hour back home, did some packing, got breakfast (those fruit and walnut salads from McDonald's are yummy), took a shower, and now I am getting ready to get boxes and other stuff needed for moving :) Just a typical Sat. except that I have to get packed today so not Chris time boo.

lol yeah i get a bit annoyed when people dont lock my doors.. hence why im installing it... (didnt end up doing it yesterday i got too frustrated trying to fix my window..)

my next car will have electric windows, but the cool thing is if you turn the car off you still have about 30seconds to put them up before it wont let you.. so its pretty cool :)
