I'm afraid I'm by my lonesome. Moved away from my homestate of California a few years back before my divorce so have very few friends here and no relatives.

A few months ago, an online game I was into a years ago returned back from the Dead so I'm currently enjoying that.

I was supposed to work a 24 hour shift today, but got the phone call last night that my truck (ambulance) had been cut and I can have the day off.

So, I am on my computer playing Ark: Survival Evolved and getting killed by dinosaurs!

Cookout, burgers, local town fireworks from nearby parking lot. A brother in Christ and his possible future wife will visit to go to the fireworks with us.

I grabbed a heap if fruit for canning and I’m working my way through it. During the downtime I’m fine tuning projects for woodworking and sewing class.

All of our kids and grand-kids are off on vacations or trips, so my wife and I will be home. We'll watch the Macy fireworks display on TV from the comfort of home.

We took a drive through the forest where we used to work. Sad how things have changed. Now I'm eating mini candy bars and viewing the internet. Hubby is watching Fox news with his headphones on because the news causes my heart to palpitate.

All those hills look the same.

That is the San Gabriel Valley foothills just east of Los Angeles.

The quake was a gentle roller coaster ride here. No big deal.

Nnnnniicceeee...yeah, I guess they do look the same huh. If you go up the Angeles Crest about 40 miles...you'll hit my desert! I'm in the Monrovia area often!
