  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm reading "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance".

It's a great book and I'm fascinated by it, but I can only read so much at a time. Usually I'm very quick with books, I usually finish a book in two days. But with this one I can only go a couple chapters at a time. I feel like I'm taking in too much information and if I read any more I'll forget what I read before. I've been reading it for over a week now and I still have quite a bit left.

C.S. Lewis is a great apologist. Or so I've heard. :)

I'm reading 'E.W. Kenyon: The True Story' now. There have been a few books attacking E.W. Kenyon's theology and claiming he mixed metaphysics with Christianity, resulting in heresy. Lies, of course. This book refutes all of those bogus claims. A great book so far.

Welcome back to the faith, Hannah. :)

Not currently reading anything... Which is a shock...
I've been wanting to get the unabridged version of Pilgrim's Progress. It's a story that I have always loved, even as a kid. (We had a record with a children's version of it on. Was really awesome. One of my favorites.)

I also enjoy the Chronicles of Narnia, Screwtape Letters, and Mere Christianity. C.S. Lewis is an excellent author, and one of my favorites.

As of next week though, I will be reading my college textbooks.... Oh fun. :p

The God Delusion, by Richard Dawkins..

Awesome. I was looking at that literally just a few days ago in the bookstore.

To the OP:

Just finished The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli, now reading On Liberty by John Stuart Mill.
