Whose translation of Brothers did you end up reading, Nadroj?

The Garnett one -- it was the most readily available. I've heard that there's a new one that is apparently much better than Garnett's, so I might look into that.

The Resurrection of the Church in Albania by Jim Forest. Forest interviews and tells the stories of 20 or so individuals involved in the rebuilding of the Orthodox Church in Albania. Albania was the world's only official atheist state (they persecuted religion worse than China.) All religion was outlawed and all places of worship were closed and all religious activity became underground. There are some very inspiring stories in these pages.

There's a second edition of Jesus Freaks? I have the first one and found it so inspiring!

Yep!! There's also a new book about American History, that I saw today, but I can't remember what it was called.

Two things:

1) Exploring the Inner Universe by Fr. Roman Braga, a Romanian Orthodox priest that was imprisoned for his religious beliefs for 11 years by the communists. Most of the book is the trascript of an interview with him. The rest of it is two articles written by Fr. Roman.

2) Do What You Are, a book that's supposed to help you discover your career path. It has all kinds of questionaires and stuff in it. Don't know if it'll help, but I figured I'd give it a shot.

"War and Peace" and "The Lord of the Rings". I made it my reading aim this year to finally read W&P, and am not going to make it! I still have about a quarter of it to go, and only 2 months! The Lord of the Rings I decided to read again after seeing the last of the film trilogy, to see how true to the books the films were. I have been very strict with myself, not letting myself start anything new until I plough through these two, but unfortunately, I haven`t been so good about not BUYING anything new! So now I have a HUGE pile of lovely new books begging to be opened...........

What's with everyone reading more than one book at a time?

I don't know about everybody else, but I'm easily distracted. I'll start reading one book, then buy a new one that I want to read right away, then decide that I want to read a particular book in order to be able to teach it....It all just snowballs resulting in a beside table filled with a bunch of books that I'm reading at once.

Sorry, Glorianna - it`s a bad habit I`ve always had, and my 10 year old daughter looks like she`s getting it from me. She always has her nose in a book, and usually is reading 2 or 3 at a time, with a pile waiting for her

I've actually read up to 10 or so at a time. Upside is you get alot of different stuff, downside is it takes forever to finish anything.
