Try again. Why do you think the sacrificial system was placed in the law of Moses?
Because no one could keep the law! That's how the law kills!
Faith in the coming Christ by sacrifice on the alter is what saved them. It was Grace.
Mis-represented in your post.No need to try again! It's a fact!

John 7:19
Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?
Matt. 5:17
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Rom. 8:3-4
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Do you refrain from stealing, from idolatry, and from commiting adultery ? Do you refrain just sometimes, or do you choose to steal, commit idolatry, and commit adultery sometimes, just because it is okay ?The only way man can keep the law
The only way man can keep the law, is by 100% faith in Christ and no works, he has done the works.
WHO do you know who keeps the law (TORAH) ?James is being misunderstood by the lawkeepers.
Do you refrain from stealing, from idolatry, and from commiting adultery ? Do you refrain just sometimes, or do you choose to steal, commit idolatry, and commit adultery sometimes, just because it is okay ?
My friend, as Paul told us, we are dead to sin once we are saved. That does not mean we can't sin anymore, it means that the sin nature in man has become dormant inside us.
I know that the list you provided is sin. I can't overcome that sin on my own with will-power, only the Holy Spirit can do that for me. That comes from 100% faith in Christ who has fulfilled the law for me and in me.
So committing lawlessness , regardless if it is stealing or immorality,
is not your goal , plan nor purpose, right ? (positive hope here)
So you are okay then committing sinful desires and unrighteousness ?So committing lawlessness , regardless if it is stealing or immorality,
is not your goal , plan nor purpose, right ? (positive hope here)
Jesus and all the permanent disciples observed Torah Daily in their lives. (including not for show, many miracles, laying down their lives for one another - meeting others needs before their own family)If you observe any laws or commandments, the Spirit is restricted by your works and cannot perform this work through you.
So you are okay then committing sinful desires and unrighteousness ?
(your posts did not answer this)
I did not ask what or who you depended on.What kind of a question is this?
Do you not understand that I don't depend on myself to stay out of sin?
I depend wholly on my faith in Christ, by His fulfilling of the law, that He will fulfill the law in me by His Spirit!
I did not ask what or who you depended on.
I asked what you DO.
Do you run red lights? If you do, you are subject to penalties/ judgment/ tickets/ losing your license.
Do you commit stealing, idolatry (many do, btw), adultery, WILLINGLY ?
If you do, you may be subject to tremendous known and unknown judgments.
If you do not sin willingly, that is easy to say. Those who are not slaves of unrighteousness are JOYOUS and SAY SO ! We have become slaves of RIGHTEOUSNESS instead, as Jesus bought us, purchased us with HIS BLOOD , and set us free from the power of the devil, the world, and the flesh.
Plainly: I do not sin willingly. I choose to serve God, the One True God, as He Says and as He accomplishes in my life, as written in His Word.
So you do continue in sin, without repentance then...... ?Pay close attention to what I'm saying here.
I am not under the law, I am under grace. As Paul has told us many, many times.
If you try to keep any type of law, you are bound to the law and not grace.
That's why I keep no laws, but I keep faith in the One who did keep the law.
If I sin under grace, my faith sustains me.
If I sin under to law, I am condemned, there is no grace to sustain me.
