My religion does not say that. It says we believe in God and even if He does not exist, we still believe in ethics, morality, loving others, etc. So what is your point?

What does you religion say? believe in a God that we don't know is there but could be, may be, we want him to be there but we don't know, in other words please believe in nothing for now.
What has ethics, morality, loving others, etc. got to do with Gods? do you think that Atheists do not possess these qualities or abilities?
What do you mean 'even' if he does not exist?

I'm married to an Atheist, so yes, I know that Atheists also strive for those same qualities.
I can't make heads or tails of what point you are trying to make here.

I don't think God is there in the sense that most religions think but I think the High Being set things going. That It's at the end of the universe and not of this dimension - plus the way alot of religions speak of it causes confusion - God left us here to survive the best we can not to beg a stretched out arm from the sky to take care of all of one's problems and hand one everything on a silver platter. Besides, I've had an out-of-body experience and seen the place - odd thing I could'nt get in (kept bouncing off like a barrier but I could see only the beginning of the place) guess I got sent back because I had unfinished things here.

Who can say, Who or what is God? The Torah states crystal clear what He is not.
He is not man and has neither form. The fact we say Him, is maybe just the way we speak, the humanbeing, being a million times more complex than the Empire state building, clearly indicates that there is a Divine force, a Divine Wisdom a Divine Creator. If this is so, then He must have clearly invested a little of Himself in each and every one of us, and likewise with all Creation. Religions maybe, just cross the stream to fetch water. In a search for the Divine One. And yet He is the very air we breath. I find it wonderous.

Well, no, that doesn't make sense. You may believe there's nothing, but obviously people who believe there is something do not believe that something is nothing, so religious people do not believe in nothing. They do, infact believe in something. Now if there is actually something or nothing is of course another matter. Or maybe nothing is something because something can be nothing.. or.. something. Nothing? Something.

What attitude is that? facing facts, living with reality, seeing life (and death) for what it is and not what I wish it would be.
I have a feeling that without their Gods Christians would go completely off the rails, they think the only reason they can stay nice people is because of their belief in a God.
