  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am currently listening to a German song by Rammstein called "Sonne."

You can find it over on Youtube. (I can't post links until I have 50 posts, sorry).

This is like, the only song by Rammstein that I actually like. I listened to their other songs and decided I wasn't that much of a fan, oh well.

I feel like I'm in a weird place now as a christian guitarist/musician. I don't find much Christian music very musically appealling or interesting. Don't get me wrong, I love to praise and worship my God and savior Jesus Christ and I lead praise and worship regularly. For listening pleasure tho, kind of tough. And I don't like "listening" to praise and worship. The closer I have been getting to God lately (I feel time is short, and we as christians have a SERIOUS job to do to win this world for Christ), the more I get a twist in my spirit listening to secular music. I still do and will but alot less these days. My Ipod is about 50/50 secular/christian but mostly lateley just getting into the Word...
SO,,,anyway... I have found a musically intriguing Christian artist named Neal Morse. Uses Mike Portnoy for all his musical projects... also has used Phil Keaggy, Paul Gilbert, Steve Morse and a plethora of other great musicians. Check out his album 'Solo Scriptura'. It's Martin Luther's story put to amazing progressive rock.
