  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What about the kids?

In the midst of the CORVID-19 panic and chaos, I found it disturbing to find out that CPS is still actively removing children from homes right now without judges to schedule hearings for the parents, and without options for placement because foster homes are not taking new children into their homes at this time so kids are in hallways in city offices, any meetings with parents that were pre-arranged with case workers prior to the pandemic are still occurring with no physical contact between parent and child and they must practice 6 ft social distancing. So a parent with an 18 month old baby has to stand 6 feet away and wave at their child. From what I have come to understand, the little ones are not adjusting well at all and are heartbroken. Please pray for these babies and their parents.

Where is your proof?

I highly doubt that that is a widespread policy. I expect parents who don't want advice or counsel on parenting, are usually looking for opportunities to criticize CPS. Child abusers resent correction.

I pray for children who are victims of angry parents and I pray for child abusers.

Why are people so quick to assume others are at fault and it couldn't possibly be the government? I don't have kids in foster care and never have. I am not an abuser either if that is your implication.

What does that mean? I am just trying to spread awareness and get people to pray for these kids. I don't think that is asking too much.

Where do all these foster kids come from? Don't they have parents?

Originally your OP did not say that you were referring to foster care children who had been removed from a bad environment. Those darling children are separated so as not to expose them to the risk of catching Covid-19.

I wasn't suggesting that you are a child abuser. I thought perhaps your remarks came from a child neglecter or abuser. My siblings and I were never in foster care, but we had no support system because we were socially isolated most of our childhood. Why blame the government for foster care? Do you want them to ignore neglected and abused children? My five siblings and I grew up in a less that ideal situation in several different locations.
