  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Man, I see babies every day here at work, and I saw the cutest little toddler in the waiting room at the lab earlier where I went for my drug screening...

...I think I'm getting to that point where I need a kitten or puppy or something, cause I want a baby and can't have one lol.

I want grandbabies too, but it's way too early!! How am I going to survive the next 10 or 20 years? Maybe I'll become a pediatric nurse *pictures herself sneaking into kids' hospital rooms while cackling softly and whispering "Ohhh yes, I'll get my baby fix today, yes I will!"*

My wife is totally miserable right now, though, and can often be found wandering the house muttering "this kid's gotta get out of here."

I guess the baby has dropped/moved into position - and she's getting sharp pains down around the pelvic region that can nearly knock her down if the kid moves certain ways.

Poor thing.

Stand in speechless awe of the majesty and miracle that is WOMAN.

Then rub her feet and her back and make her favorite meal

Seriously though, whenever I just stop and ponder how God creates a new life within a woman's body... it's mind-numbingly amazing...

I agree - it's hard to believe that 8ish months ago it was just this little thing barely the size of a pea - but now it's (truly) a kicking, swimming around, etc...little baby boy.

I mean - for all intents and purposes - he's done...lol He could come out today and all would be cool.

I'm actually kinda hoping that she goes into labor naturally before the scheduled c-section date. Our daughter had all sorts of gastro-issues when she was an infant and never took to breast feeding. I lay that 100% on the chain of events that happened right after she was born via c-section (they wanted to do a glucose test right away - which meant she needed to eat right away - but she couldn't breastfeed due to the medications involved in the c-section), etc etc. As a result - her initial feedings were off a bottle - and she never took to the breast.

I can totally see that happening this time again if the c-section happens.

Natural birth is always best if it can be managed, I agree. I pray that happens for her! Encourage her to be up and moving around and active as much as she can manage, to help encourage things along Or as I sometimes say to heavily pregnant woman "just squat and push!"

We've got annual passes to Disney - so I've been trying to prompt her to come and just walk around the park. lol Give our daughter something to do - plus keep my wife walking around.

She's not been all too excited about that idea, though.
