We'll Suffer a Spell

We live in a day and a time
When life on the earth not sublime.
Fearmongers all over the place
Who want us stop running the race.

They try instill fear in our hearts,
So from our Lord we will depart.
They want us now give up the fight,
So from our faith we now take flight.

They want us now constant in angst,
So trust in God gets not a chance.
They want us believing the fears,
Continuing throughout the years.

So, walk by faith and not by fear,
Do not let fear make you change gears.
With God all things under control,
There’s nothing that He does not know.

Believe that He’s sovereign o’er all,
And do not let life make you fall.
For God’s will and purpose survive
In hopes that we in Him will thrive.

So don’t let the world take you out,
And cause you to in Christ now doubt.
For He never promised all’s well,
But we will now suffer a spell.

He said persecuted we’ll be,
If from our sins we’ve been set free,
If we’re living daily for Him,
Obeying Him we do not trim.

So follow the Lord where He leads,
And on His Word daily now feed.
Surrender your life all to Him,
And no longer live for a whim.
