I've been having a very boring summer, so I picked up my dusty, neglected gameboy and an even dustier, more neglected Pokemon Yellow version that I had never even finished a game on (my Saphire version was beginning to bore me, and my Red and Silver versions had been all but abandoned at least a year and a half ago). I restarted the game, named myself Diane (for that is my name, unless you happen to be one of my real life friends, minus my best friend, or family members [in other words, it's my penname/nickname]), and promptly began the game...without a beginner Pokemon. Well, I had a beginner Pokemon until I got some Pokeballs, that is. Then I promptly caught a lvel 5 pidgey, named her Sora (I check my Pokemon's genders with my Silver version), and put that level 5 pikachu in my PC, never to be used again. So now I'm playing through the game with no beginer Pokemon and without any other "one of a kind" or "event" Pokemon. I'm only using one team of 6 Pokemon: Sora the pigeot, Lady the nidorina, Rei the butterfree (also the only male Pokemon on the team), Kitsune the ninetails (who I traded over from my Silver version for Pikachu as a level 14 vulpix right before Mt. Moon), Rakka the sandslash, and Taka the seadra. So far all my Pokemon are at level 39 and I just beat Sabrina, meaning I have 5 badges. Just wondering, has anyone else gotten so bored that they've tried challenging themselves to make it through a game using some weird little quirk just to make the game last longer and make it more interesting?
