Weird feelings/ability

When I was younger, I had this weird ability. I could often tell when someone was about to come into a room and who they were, even when I couldn't hear them. I'd have about seven seconds of heads up. Kept me from getting in trouble often. I also had plenty of, according to Mom, déjà vu. When some things happened, I felt like I had been there and seen it before, and I knew how it would turn out. I was always right how it would turn out, but couldn't seem to change it. I got into some dark times spiritually, and it backed off for the most part, but never went away.

I'm back on track and better than ever now, and it's reawakening. Including something new. I can sometimes see two options and get to choose which path and results I want. I don't remember seeing it before hand, I just know I've seen it, and the results are always correct.

Does anyone have any similar stories? Does anyone know what it is and if there is a way to grow it?

so you see the bends in the river of time. I think the best way to grow in any gift is to trust God in it, and try to involve him in the choices you make.

It sounds like you have the spiritual gift of prophecy. From my experience and understanding of Scripture, it is very normal for those who have the Holy Spirit living inside of them. Jesus dwells in our hearts, they are the same yet different Ephesians 3:17 Acts 2:17 (read in full context). Please, don't be alarmed by it. It means you are mature in your faith that Holy Spirit has apportioned spiritual gifts to us as HE wills and pleases from what I understand of scripture 1 Corinthians 12, 1 Corinthians 13 among others. Be encouraged to continue your walk of faith between you and the LORD and HE will grow you according to His word! 1 Corinthians 3:7 They were always available to EVERYONE..

I have had sporadic experiences like that. I think the key to "growing" it is to maintain your personal holiness and avoid sin.

It's just heightened senses on my opinion. I had very heightened senses, inordinately heightened, and it sounds similar to what you're saying.

I have a gift too which I call a sensing ability, but I think it's more of my personality because I'm introverted/reserved and quiet. Sometimes I can feel the presence of God, or I can feel him looking at me. I sense that he's there, like I can feel Him almost. I call it "sensing" or "feeling." You know when I took a personality test, the results told me I was "SENSING FEELING JUDGING."

I think this kind of thing is quite common. Some people are just more sensitive to things than others, especially the spiritual realm. I am definitely one of those people. I can see things, have seen some mind-blowing things, you can call it a gift of prophecy if you want but it gets stronger when you exercise it.
