define weak atheist

Wikipedia said:
Weak atheism, also known as implicit atheism and negative atheism, is the absence of belief in the existence of deities...Theists claim that a single deity and/or group of deities exist. Weak atheists do not assert the contrary; instead, they refrain from assenting to theistic claims.

A weak atheist will make no definate statement as to the existance of a God or Gods, but has no belief in God or Gods. In other words, although a God might exist, we don't believe one does based on what we know.
Are you saying that a weak atheist can still believe that there is/are no God/gods?

"To believe" is a positive statement and requires a positive reason. "God" is a sufficiently ill-defined term so that its negation is impossible in the general sense. At best one could claim belief that none of the speculated gods exist, but even that is a huge number of gods to discount. Add on possible unknown gods or the general Deist God and to make a positive claim is a stretch. For example, I assume that you do not believe that rusalki exist. This is probably because you've never heard of a rusalka. But can you state that you believe that rusalki don't exist? That would be hard for you to defend.

Well don't you think this could be a major issue in all of this?
There is no way of clarfying for certain with hard evidence that there actually is an afterlife and I think that's what most people are afraid of. Not knowing what comes beyond the grave. Not knowing what stands even before the grave.
You're afraid to commit to something that isn't solid. Because that's all we know.
That's all we can fully understand.
For the average human...the here and now is sufficient. To have a perimeter and touch is evidence of existence. But spirituality goes much farther than he physical life.
It's like our mind and souls...you can't touch them...and even to spend time thinkin about ourselves [yes we do exist ;)] is really complicated. I don't think we fully understand ourselves either.
I mean...

For many people; Seeing is believing right??

but in reality.......believing is seeing

I do not find this accurate. I have no soul or mind that exists or expands beyond my physical body. Spirituality is a lot like Values to me. Ephemeral and foggy.

Asked and answered a million times, but just to prove that I can be baited as well as anyone, because there is no evidence either way. Beliefs aren't rational in any case. If we're being honest with ourselves, we believe what rings true, not just what we wish to be true.
