• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

We need your help!

For those of you who do not know, I am a program director fo the Methuselah Foundation, a non-profit science organization that funds research on human aging and life extension (see mfoundation .org).

We are supporting a project named "Undergrads Against Aging Related Disease" which has been submitted as part of the Amex Members Project initiative, and will directly support our student research initiative (see mfuri .org). We just need you to go to this website (membersproject .com) and nominate this project - it is free and easy and should take you about 5 minutes.

We need to get more than 2000 votes in the next few days (by Sept 1, 2008) so please support our cause and vote now. Here are the instructions:

1. Paste this URL into your browser: membersproject .com (It is also available from Amex home page americanexpress .com from a link in the bottom left corner under "Important Announcments".)

2.a. If you are not an Amex Card Member: Click on "Guest Members Log In" (in the upper right corner of the screen). Then click on "Guest Members Sign Up Here" (at the bottom of the next screen).

2.b. If you are an Amex Card Member: Click on "Cardmembers Log In" (on the right side of the screen). If you don't already have an online login click on "Create a Log In" in the next screen.

3. Complete the Registration Form which will give you your Login ID.

4. Once you are logged in on the home page, you can either a) Enter "Undergrads Fighting Age Related Disease" in the Search box or b) click on "Health " then "Diseases and Disorders" at the bottom right of the home page, and scroll down to "Undergrads Fighting Age Related Disease".

5. Click on the project and then click on the "Nominate this Project" button. Then click on "Post Your Comments" (at the bottom of the screen), as discussion board activity counts towards the nomination of the top 25 projects.

Thank you so much for you support!

The hope and enthusiasm for ending the suffering of aging in the students who approach us looking for ways to help can be harnessed with your vote!
