We need new mods!

The moderating teams really need new people so if you think you have time to offer - 5 hours a week is the minimum - then please think about applying.

The team that oversees this area, the Congregational Area, is the Congregational Team.

It doesn't matter if you have no idea what moderating involves or how to find your way around the forum, we'll train you.

The requirements for applying are that you should have at least 200 posts in the last 3 months, with a number of substantial posts.

Not sure who is moderating the WP, but whoever it is he/she is doing a bang up job. This is the best run place on all of CF and many other internet forums as well.

But sorry, I don't send 5 hours a week online, so I don't qualify.

I would be curious if you could describe a little bit regarding the training that mods undergo. Beyond 5 hours a week, what are some of the expectations that CF has and qualities that it looks for regarding mods? What process is in place for continued evaluation of the performance of the mods themselves?

We have dark Internet rituals that happen once a week. If you don't maintain an 80% attendance ratio, you are expelled from the Order.

The moderators of CF are secretly known as The Most Illuminated Order of the Electronic Enlightenment. Missing a few dark rituals will get you knocked down a few Degrees, but going under 80% means you are Cast Away from the Brethren, forever doomed to wander the Internet in Darkness.

All of the above may be true. Alternatively, there might just be moderator stats that record the number of "actions" (violations issued, etc) you do and your participation is ranked on that.

But only maybe.
