  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

How true that is Paul! I wouldn't be able to handle the loud screaming music in some of the modern churches of today. Teenagers screaming and jumping in "mosh pits" to the point of breaking ankles.... no, no. I could not handle that.
Then again, I can't handle a long sermon on "The Lord loveth a cheerful giver, so give us your money so that your cup overunneth with money."

Personally, I like a nice quiet reverend session where we can pray in peace, and listen to a good talk on something in the Bible. But, I do like reverance to God in any Chruch Meeting. Yes, we can laugh at something spoken! But, to me, sheer reverance to the Mighty Creator is a must.
We are all different, of that there is no doubt.

LOL!! :D :D

My ideal church is one with a pastor that is quite informed and a mature servant. The music I think I can bear, whatever it is...after all, people usually have the sermon after the music...;)

I wouldn’t go so far as to say "He has given us *all* the different churche's we have today", but i get your point!

what i'm trying to say were ever you feel right then that's the place for you.

I would disagree with this to some extent as well given the seeker sensitive churches we have. Most of the time people "feel right" about a church because it is comfortable. When in reality they are not being challenged or edified. They simply sit anemic week after week *but* very comfortable in their very comfortable seats..

I don't think the reasoning that we are all different is too good of an excuse for all the different kind of denominations. I don't think that is too bibical.

I tend to side with you, Belivina, on that jumping around music. It isn't for me too much either. I think the christian rock music of today is vastly different from the praise music of David's time. But that is just my personal opinion.

I do not like Christian Rock. And, sometimes, the Chistian youth of today concern me in some of the modern churches. It costs alot of money to go to some of their turnouts.

In our Home Churches, it doesn't cost anything except LOVE!!

PSALM 150vs3-6 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute, praise him with the clash of cymbals, let everything that has breath praise the LORD.

Music and song were a big part of old testament worship, David introduced music into the tabernacle and temple services (1 chronicles 16; 4-7) the music must have been loud and joyous as evidenced by the list of instruments
psalm150 tells us to praise the LORD with music that is just what the young people of today are doing with there christian rock bands, it may seem strange to us older generation all this loud music but then i bet it seemed strange to the older folk of David's time when he introduced music into the tabernacle and temple services I wonder wether they liked it ?
