  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I think so.

The boy Jesus showed promising intelligence in Luke 2:

46 After three days they [Jesus' parents] found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. 47 And all who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers.
When he began his public ministry, his disciples called him rabbi, John 1:

38 Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked, “What do you want?” They said, “Rabbi” (which means “Teacher”), “where are you staying?”
He read in Luke 4:

16 He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read,
The locals were impressed with his preaching. Matthew 13:

54 and coming to his hometown he taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, “Where did this man get this wisdom and these mighty works?
He wrote in John 8:

5 Now in the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?” 6This they said to test him, that they might have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground.
Jesus had the intellectual competence to acquire reading and writing skills. He presented a proof by contradiction to the Saddacees.

He disputed with the Pharisees on a few occasions.

He outsmarted Pilate when Pilate tried to get him to incriminate himself.

Many OT prophets were literate. Matthew and Paul were literate.

Was Jesus literate?

I do think so.

How did he learn?

I don't know, but it would not be difficult for him to learn. He had the natural brain hardware for it.
