Cool video! Love the music background. Sounds similar to the Beatles' song Paperback Writer.
1 Samuel 17:49 ►
New International Version
Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground.
Would you consider fish turning into horses and people under that fable category? And alternative histories and fables are written by the losers.
Mine is a very special time of life when your age and IQ pass each other moving in opposite directions.
Quotations are only objected to when misapplication based on its misunderstanding occurs or it is used maliciously to support a concept which the author disagrees with. Can't work out the PM system, so I'll ask in public: Can I quote that please.
No.Was Goliath Stricken with Acromegaly?

Looks like that wasn't the case here.It was sometimes the practice that rather than engaging two opposing armies, a "champion" was chosen from each army to engage in single combat to decide the outcome.
Looks like that wasn't the case here.
1 Samuel 17:51 Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled.
1 Samuel 17:52 And the men of Israel and of Judah arose, and shouted, and pursued the Philistines, until thou come to the valley, and to the gates of Ekron. And the wounded of the Philistines fell down by the way to Shaaraim, even unto Gath, and unto Ekron.
1 Samuel 17:53 And the children of Israel returned from chasing after the Philistines, and they spoiled their tents.
Maybe you don't want to?I do not understand your objection.
But it wasn't.JackRT said:That should have been the end of it.
I believe it is unlikely because Goliath was not the only extremely tall person. He had brothers that were also tall and there were others such as Og.I recently suggested this possibility on another discussion after having provided a links to a list of unusually tall people, some of whom had reached 8 feet 8 inches in height and was told that such a thing in reference to Goliath is far more unlikely than the possibility of abiogenesis.
Let's simply this discussion: I don't believe you.In not one of the scriptures you cited above does it indicate that these large men were killed in a battle of champions. They simply say that they were killed in battle and who killed them. It would also seem that being of giant stature gave them no real advantage over a skilled fighter of normal size. Perhaps they were clumsy due to inherited Acromegaly ?
Maybe acromegaly is contagious, eh?I believe it is unlikely because Goliath was not the only extremely tall person.

?Cain is a first born; the bible is a canon that names tell firstborns on purpose. Cain only went to Nod after Abel died. However, CAIN is not listed as a son of Adam, and Cain's lineage does not begin with any (earth) Father at all - it begins with Cain.
