Avoid the website CARM - Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry

This is a anti Catholic website Carm which stands for Christian Apologetics Research Ministries, which is a very misleading anti Catholic website ran by Matt Slick, which he teaches that the Catholic Church isent Christian, it's Pagen in his view and is the W.O.B.

He also twists up versus from the Catechism saying we as Catholics worship Mary and Saints and the Pope and many more. As you can see he makes up things about the Catholic Church on what he wants the Church to believe by his own negative false opinions.

Sounds like the typical protestant argument, one I believed at one point, before I came to talk with you fine folks and others, and study a bit. My understanding is Catholics pray to saints so that they'll pray on our behalf's, as intercessions. So ultimately you're still praying to God.

Matt Slick and his minions over at CARM are some of the most virulently anti-Catholic hypocrites I have ever seen online. There are a LOT of them out there but nowhere as concentrated in numbers as CARM.

I call them hypocrites because they are ALL allowed to violate forum rules as long as they are attacking the Catholic Church. The Mods will run you out of there on a rail if you post an argument that they have no snappy comeback for - and will accuse you of violating the rules.

Satan is really at work over there . . .

Carm has been around for a long time. The owner will not engage in a serious discussion of Catholicism and his errors concerning the faith. If I was filthy rich I would sue him for his lies.

I saw a debate with Matt Slick and a Catholic and he could not take a debate seriously, he was getting frustrated and just yelled at the Catholic saying " You know what you are part of the great harlot of Babylon and you are going to hell!"

I don't see how he is a Christian Apologist, more like a Christian Critic of Opinionist if you as me.

I've been aware of CARM for a long while now. They are definitely full of anti-Catholic hatred. Thankfully all of their arguments can be refuted by a Catholic who is good at apologetics. I'm not that good at apologetics so I don't usually take on stuff like that.

He DID debate Tim Staples and got SCHOOLED by Tim.
He kept complaining that Tim was verbally and Scripturally "carpet-bombing" him.
It was actually more od a radio discussion with Tim on the phone.

Tim had NO problem handling a hack like Matt Slick.

It's funny because when Slick debated Mark Bonocore (who held his own fairly well) on Slick's show, he was VERY rude and condescending to Bonocore.
Bonocore took it in stride but let Slick walk all over him.

There was very little of that with Tim Staples, who repeatedly put Slick in his place and crushed every one of Slick's arguments with the truth.

Lolz! I remember that place! I went to the Roman Catholic section of their forums... I would also not recommend that unless you're good at laughing off stuff, cus otherwise you'll literally feel the hatred emanating from each and every post by his ironically anti-Biblical Calvinist minions.

I remember seeing one post about "Mary worship" entitled "Okay you papists! Here's your chance to convert me!"

It asked for scriptural support concerning the Marian dogmas, someone gave support for all of them and he was vilified and attacked. All they care about is being right and when someone challenges them their vitriol starts spewing forth like a baby's projectile vomiting!

Another time, they posted the perennial "Tha Bi-BUL say Call no man father!" topic where a Catholic guy quoted all the right scriptures and even posted an article about it from Catholic Answers, to which it was said "I'm not reading that website! All it is is papist dribble! You need to help me understand what it means because their hatred for the Scripture clouds their words!" No charity whatsoever or desire to talk and just find out what Catholics actually believe from Catholics!

Anyway there's a good debate he had with Robert Sungenis, just search for "Dr. Sungenis Humiliates Matt Slick" on youtube!

I have never heard of the site before...now that I am aware of it, I will avoid it like the plague!
If it is no longer on the podcast page, and it can't be found anywhere else on the site, it seems to me that it no longer exists in cyberspace,ergo,no copyright infringement.
If they took it down, would that not nullify any copyright on it if there was one in the first place?..Just a thought.

Heh. Sounds familiar. You should see this place when people start talking science. There's the side of legitimate science, and there's the side of "what I already believe to be true is true so nah nah nah nah nah nah I can't hear you and oh-by-the-way, here's a "scientist" who agrees with me so everyone else is wrong nah nah nah nah....."

Upload it to Youtube. If there is a copyright dispute, it'll probably be taken down automatically, or you will be asked to voluntarily take it down yourself. Protestants are very ignorant of scripture and contradict what scripture really says to be honest. They all claim that there Protestant doctrine is correct, but there are 35,000+ denominations in Protestantism, that's not my calculation this is from Oxford University of World Religions.

All Protestant denominations claim the Holy Spirit guided there doctrine, but don't they realize all protestant denominations have different doctrines? If the Holy Spirit guided all 35,000+ sheep stealing groups, they I guess the Holy Spirit is confused, right? No!

Protestantism is a man made religion that needs to be corrected. The Catholic Church is the fullest of the faith and is the earliest Christian Church Christ established himself amen? Jesus says let there be One Flock and One Shepard, not many flocks.

In Matthew 16:18 Jesus tells Peter that upon this rock I will build my Church, he never said I will build my Churches, right? Protestants are just very confused..

I've been to that website just to read a few of their threads...it's totally ridiculous. I'm often left scratching my head: do those people seriously believe what they believe about Catholics or is it just a trolling against Catholics website? It seems to be both. Oddly enough, I think I remember dropping into their Orthodox discussion sub-forums. There's almost like 0 activity in that sub-forum, but there's a gajillion active threads condemning Catholicism and calling us stupid.

It's almost like the Christian version of 4chan (thesitethatshallnotbenamed) minus the porn+anime, and reminds me of a video game forum I visit where the majority are evangelical atheists.

How ironic that website is about apologetics, yet Catholics are not allowed to defend their position. It will be an entertaining road to Hell, that's for sure.

Then again, CF is almost just as bad. You won't believe the rampant anti-Catholicism on this website, and the stupidity I read. It's a good thing that these forums are at least moderated, because you could be rest assured that if it wasn't, OBOB would become CARM-Jr.

I agree, this website is also very anti Catholic is most forums such as the Baptist Forum, the Theology forums and so forth. They ask questions like, why do Catholics worship the pope, then laugh about it afterwards. It's ridiculous, plus in a Baptist forum were I was debating a Baptist on once saved always saved ofcorse they report me and kick me out there threads, what heretics.
