It is a trap, meant to keep one spending money on paint and peices when one doesn't even have anyone to play with. How stupid. It would be much cheaper and faster to buy a computerized strategy game, and avoid social interaction all together.

I personally collect Warhammer 40k and I agree; it is a big waste of money. However, I treat it as a hobby and use it just as a leisure activity when my friends and I get together to play. I focus mainly on the painting part which I enjoy. Still a waste of money though...

i agree alot a wast of money but it worth it just to feel a battle
