I'm just back from Mass at the Cathedral, and wanted to share one of the thoughts from the Homily:
We were reminded that in today's world, we are often forced into the position where we have to vehemently defend the Catholic Church, and that we become a staunch Catholic instead of being a staunch Christian.
We were then reminded that being a good Catholic IS being a good Christian, and that we must defend our faith, not just our doctrine.
