Is it just me, or waiting on God is one of the hardest thing to do?...  I mean, something has to happen in your life. It needs to happen. Sometimes you feel like it should have happened a long time ago. But, apparently, the time isn't right from the Lord's perspective, and He is holding it.

You know that God is never late, you know that His timing is perfect timing, you know that He sees the whole picture and you don't. You know all that. And yet, waiting is so hard.

I'm sure many of you have been through that. I would love to hear your stories and testimonies!

I'm going through that right now with one particular area of my life. It seems like when I try to set out and "make" it happen, it always backfires or blows up in my face. A little over a year and a half ago, I basically told God it was up to him and when he wanted to answer the prayer, I'd be open ears. Well, I'm still waiting...but the important thing now is that I am not "forcing" the issue and have put it in his hands. He's never steered me wrong before so I will keep waiting and praying...that's all we can do.

well, for me i told God just last week that i'm leaving a particular issue in His hands too. Probably we're talking about the same issue the_outlaw..:)....
but anyway it is always so easy to be frustrated coz we humans are always concerned about the here and now....it is only when we look back that we shrug the incident off as a small thing and it wasn't a big deal...it's like looking at someone in the fiery furnace and you yourself in a fiery furnace...if it happens to you, it hurts, but if nothing is happening to you, you feel safe....guess we're predisposed to suffer as such...

I am always afraid to pray for patience!

I just had to laugh when I saw this.  I avoid asking for this as if it were a plaque.  It's a little easier for me to be patient and wait because I have grown to understand that sometimes it takes awhile for God to work out His plan.

I like to create things, and if I had a child who was anxious for that toy I was making for them I would try to include them in on it as much as possible.  God does the same with us, you actually become part of His plan by following along with his instructions.

Every time you ask for patience, God will give you things which make you "excercise" patience to make it grow. At least that has been my experience.

Just knowing that He is there helping you thorugh it makes it oh so much more bearable though. :D Have a great day!

This is a good one for me. I have learned in my walk. In God'time not mine. I'm waiting for him to answer something for me right now. I know that He will do it but I will wait. I wasn't always like this. I would say things like when Lord, why is this taking so long. The one thing I know is if He gave me everything I wanted then I won't need Him, and I need Him in my life. This is teaching me to be real HUMBLE. It's not easy but I have put my trust in His hands.
