Waiting for Bipolar Evaluation ....

Tuesday, June 20th, I have an appointment for an evaluation to see if I have bipolar disorder. I have many symptoms for depression and three or four symptoms of mania.

I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea, hypoglycemia and high blood pressure. I have many symptoms for ADD as well. Both of my boys have symptoms of ADD/ADHD, and some symptoms for bipolar disorder. Both boys have an appointment for a mental health evaluation soon.

Sometimes I feel like a walking corpse!!! Does anyone take medication that doesn't make you sleepy? Due to the nature of my work, I can't take anything that makes me sleepy.

My medication made me tired. But then I just got used to it.

My Dr didn't just diagnose me after one meeting. I was diagnosed after several (over 20) meetings.

Praying for you. Yes,some of the meds I tried did not make me sleepy -lithium or example, some did-the one that works best for me does make me slightly sleepy so I wa able to split small doses ove rthe day and a larger one at night and am not to sleep y to dirve or do whatever during the day. Praying for you and your doctor for wisdom in helping you and y our sons. My son also has bp and add. He takes bopth the mood stabilizer and the ritalin.
