  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

In my books America stands at the edge of a precipice. This isn’t politics as usual. It’s not about conservative versus liberal or two opposing parties hashing out their differences. This election has become a showdown between democracy and an alarming rise of authoritarianism and hatred within our borders, threatening to redefine our national identity and future. The choice is blunt, and the consequences are stark. We’re deciding whether this country stays aligned with the democratic values it was founded on or slips further into a regime that operates by fear, hatred, conspiracy, and loyalty to power rather than the rule of law.

Let’s not mince words. Donald Trump’s platform—and the MAGA movement he inspires—is openly hostile to democracy. This is a man who stoked an insurrection to overturn a lawful election, who spent years sowing doubt in the electoral process, and who continues to peddle lies that undermine trust in democratic institutions. It’s not a question of rhetoric or style; it’s a question of intent. From Trump’s praise of foreign dictators to his blatant disregard for legal accountability, he has shown he would prefer to lead by authoritarian means if given the chance. He’s aligned himself ideologically with the kinds of leaders who rule by silencing opposition, censoring the press, and dismantling rights for anyone who dares to dissent. Trump’s worldview is not one where citizens hold power; it’s one where power is centralized, unchallenged, and wielded without accountability.

The stakes are massive, particularly for those thinking about the world their children will inherit. If Trump and his allies gain control, we’re looking at a country that could turn its back on the ideals of equality, justice, and freedom of expression. Imagine an America where opposition voices are silenced, where dissenters are targeted, and where policies aren’t debated but enforced without question. Trump’s past behavior and current ambitions suggest exactly this. He has openly talked about purging the federal government of anyone who doesn’t align with him, creating loyalty tests, and punishing political opponents. These are not the acts of a leader who believes in democracy. They’re the actions of someone who wants to bend government to his will, regardless of laws or public opinion.

Kamala Harris, on the other hand, represents an unambiguous commitment to democracy, inclusiveness, and a government accountable to its people. Her platform isn’t built on fear or division but on the principles that have guided this country at its best moments—truth, transparency, and justice for all, not just the privileged few. Harris’s policies aim to create a country where citizens feel protected by their government, not threatened by it. She stands for a future where America remains open to the world, grounded in alliances with other democracies, and ready to address the complex realities facing everyone—from climate change to economic fairness to racial justice.

This isn’t the time for false equivalencies or neutral reporting. We have seen exactly who Trump is and what he represents. We know his vision for America and the kind of society his movement seeks to build. It’s a vision where power justifies itself, where truth is optional, and where anyone outside the loyal base is seen as a threat. We are seeing the rise of a political force that doesn’t respect democratic norms and isn’t interested in protecting the freedoms that so many have fought to establish.

If we don’t act, we risk handing over this country’s future to a movement that is openly anti-democratic and rooted in control, division, and deceit. This election isn’t just a vote; it’s a defense of the very idea of America as a free and democratic society. A vote for Kamala Harris is a vote to protect this country from slipping into authoritarianism. It’s a vote for a future where your children can speak freely, challenge power, and expect a government that respects the law. If we want a country that upholds truth, justice, and equality, then there’s only one choice: vote for democracy. Vote for Harris, because the alternative is a future that turns its back on everything America was meant to be.

There hasn't been an election where this hasn't been said.

They said the same thing when Ronald Raegan ran for office. I know for some of my own relatives said these very things.

So you think you have all the answers. Are you the great seer and wiser than all those voting for Trump? Do you really have that much confidence in your own opinions? Perhaps putting other people down is a way to feel better about oneself.

Good day,

Clearly the majority of Americans disagree with you.. Not that an appeal to the majority is convincing argument. Regardless
In this case it is the winning argument by about 2,936,408 Americans that voted.

In Him,

Bill

“Let’s not mince words. Donald Trump’s platform—and the MAGA movement he inspires—is openly hostile to democracy.”

6 or 7 false indightments are all unraveling!

Prosecutors travelled to meet with Harris from multiple venues around the country to coordinate illegal prosecutions.

FBI identified as producing over 50 false statements in four fraudulent FISAs by a life-long Democrat inspector general

POTUS Obama, his chief of staff, Biden, NSA, Loretta Lynch, FBI director James Comey all briefed by CIA Director John Brennan in early August 2016 that Hillary Clinton had floated a false-flag “Russian Interference Operation,” involving a dossier written by Dem operatives falsely accusing Trump…every one in that briefing conspired to interfere with the 2016 election and to undermine Trump with an Impeachment. Treason anyone?

Further the Dems seemed to have no explanation of where 15 million votes that went to Biden (a racist mumbling from his basement with no one showing up to any of his incoherent rants at his campaign events), disappear to. The country was more galvanized and divided, not less. We know the explanation…it is the obvious one!

Who wanted to pack the court?

Who wanted to eliminate a republic of states by calling for an elimination of the electoral college?

Election interference in 2016, 2020 election fraud, 2024 election interference via lawfare!

J6 over 200 federal agents undercover
Illegitimate j6 committee destroys exculpatory evidence (over 25% of video)

Lifelong Dem Chief of Capital police says the best explanation for the data of how j6 happened (including how Pelosi and her staff refused the National Guard and were seen with undercover federal agents on tape opening doors that were not supposed to be opened and helping people get over barriers instead of preventing them.

Hundreds falsely imprisoned according to the Supreme Court!

Falsely imprisoned by cooperation of Dem-led FBI, DOj and Dem Federal Judges!

We haven’t even started on Biden’s corruption that is now documented. Dem senators did a no-show after. Iden was impeached. Because the Dems are an oligarchy!

I could be wrong but let’s follow the money (oh we did that and found $50 million in corruption and over 20 shell companies in Biden family alone).

I could be wrong let’s follow the bread crumbs of the Biden pardons!
