Voices anyone?

Have any of you ever had voices in your head like you're on Dr. Phil & he's talking to you? I know God's sheep know HIS voice!! I've been having voices like I'm on Dr. Phil. Is that Bipolar or Schetzoprania (SP) Please help!!

I have BP I with psychosis. or psychotic features.....When I get hurt or had to get my teeth pulled they gave me hydrocodone and it made me hear voices....If I'm off the anti psychotic I hear voices...All those voices will do is throw you into confusion. God speaks thru His word...And the Holy Ghost convicts. If you have been diagnosed either BP or SZ. Then it is the disorder and not God.

Multiple Personality Disorder causes you to hear voices with the normal issue of also losing time.

And yes, God does speak but so do demons and those that are into astral projection.

I am bipolar 1 and I hear voices , it can seem scary at times . Try to remember not every voice is of God or of your own self . If I hear voices I look back at when and why they may of happened .

I hear voices or music/singing in white noise. It's mostly indistinct, but occasionally it is clear as a bell. Once, when I was contemplating moving out of the impersonal cruel city, and changing my life for the better, I heard a very distinct and purposeful voice say "Mike". It freaked me out at the time - I didn't know anyone called Mike.
Fast-forward a few years, and I was living in a new town, and looking around for a church that fit. A colleague invited me to his church (I'd already met many of his church friends) and I went along - it felt comforting to have people there I knew already. I was introduced to the pastor, who coincidentally lived just round the corner from me. This made me feel even more like I belonged. And the pastor's name? Mike.

I like to think that was God's voice telling me something that would be revealed in time. God spoke to Daniel about things that would come to pass well after Daniel's lifetime. I'm glad I didn't have to wait 2500 years!

The indistinct white-noise voices are just enough to be irritating for me. I can block it out by either blocking the noise with earplugs, or ensuring there is a louder, non-white-noise such as music or TV. ...or I talk to the dog.

I think if you are hearing full conversations, or persistent voices with a disturbing message, it's best to see your psych about it. They are no stranger to these symptoms, and can help enormously.

Have you ever had so much electrical noise in your house that it sounds like voices that you can't understand? I had a refrigerator that made noises like that. It used to aggravate the living daylights out of me, LOL!

Oh, and yes, God does speak to us. His Word says so.

Yes. But it's only a problem when I don't know what it is, cos I can't take measures to block it or drown it out. ...or the known where I can't take measures. eg on a plane or a ship.
The past few nights we've had high winds, and something in the vicinity of the roof keeps going "Bzhht!" I'm hoping it will go away, cos I do not want to get up on the roof which is 22.5 degree pitch. That's half of 45, and that is half of straight up! I have a knack for blowing things out of proportion to the point where it's all too hard.

Are conspiracy theorists really the sane ones?

The government has been working on microwave technology for a long time and some people are deeply affected by ELF waves.

I lived in a town near a military base. It was quite rural. The people kept complaining but the local government kept saying it was just the pump at the water treatment plant. I know different. And some people were really deeply affected by it. Something that obscure, in regards to what is thought as "sane and normal" is rarely talked about though.

You could leave the area and the stuff would stop. But at night, it could get really bad. And it wasn't just voices. It was literal pain. Tingling feelings. etc.

Also, there's EM radiation. Live in a city or town? You are being bombarded with it. Every electrical device in your home (plasma TVs are the worst), electric "smart" meters if you have one, cell phone towers, substations nearby, and even wifi can mess with people's heads. Headaches, lower tolerance for stress, increased agitation... the list goes on.
It's getting worse - Since the industrial revolution we've both improved life with medicines and machines, and made it worse with pollution and poison.

Lithium is good but it has some nasty side effects....so please be careful.

Do any of you get the popping of timber in the walls when you think a certain thought or answer the thought in your head. I have had this since my psychosis and it's almost like clock work......It makes me think it is supernatural.

Lithium is the "gold standard" medication for bipolar. For what it's worth, I'm on it. The only side effect I notice is the dry mouth. I'm constantly thirsty. Meh. I deal with it. If the side effects are not nearly as bad as the effect of not taking the medication in the first place, then it's the right medication for you. It's the "unwanted" side-effects that would be the clincher. eg if you are a shift worker (international pilot or cabin crew, EMT, nurse, etc) you might find the sleepy effect of an antidepressant unacceptable. Luckily, I'm a public servant office worker, ...drowsiness is part of the job.

You make sure that they do regular blood tests to make sure you don't become toxic on that stuff!

A lot of people, myself included couldn't take it for long.

I want to talk to my doctor about getting me off of it. Since I've started taking it I'm depressed a lot more and my muscles ache. How did it effect you?
