I am thinking that I might have a computer virus. It has been repeatedly and progressively more difficult to work with over the last few weeks. It is so laborious and time consuming to post that I seldom do any more. So if you don't see me around much that is a big part of the reason. See you in the funny papers.

This is a free virus scan and a good one. It was given to me by the man who works on computers (mine included**I really messed things up when I was first learning) http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp. Also you can try ad-a-ware. A free program from Lavasoft to get rid of spyware. I have not liked Norton so I use the free edition of AVG. Ah, but have you deleted your cookies and temp internet files recently? If not, you could have thousands using up space on your memory. I did mine recently and it improved it a lot.

Click = Tools, internet options, delete cookies, delete files.

Also, there's the case of the spyware. You need "Spybot search&destroy" (free download) and you'll be amazed at the quantity of spyware you'll have, all sending info on which pages you look at and such back to their base whilst you're on line. It all helps to slow down your connection.
