Vincent Cheung's a Scriptualist like Gordon Clark and he is generous in offering most of his work free for online. Thoughts on his theology?

I'm a fan of Clark and like Cheung as well. You can read a VanTillian response to his work Aquascum here. I like his quote about fatalism being too weak: https://feileadhmor.wordpress.com/2011/11/01/but-but-thats-fatalism-lol/

Thanks for reminding me to toss his epub books on my eReader. (I hate reading from an eReader!)

file, do you disregard all of VC's work or just some of it...? The link you provided has only one example from one of his many works. I would also like to point out that Zanchius wrote during the Reformation, before the Reformed faith was became a tradition, restricted by the confessions. He seems to agree with VC, at least in some areas, if I recollect correctly.

Not a fan. If you're interested in why, please go here. Otherwise, he's been discussed here before, so it might be helpful to read some older threads.

Me either, Triablogue features a number of responses. I don't know if you've heard of him, but Van Tillian Paul Manta has also responded at length, and a number of his posts can be read at the Puritanboard, even if in quotes by other posters.

I posted a link to Aquascum aka Paul Manta above.

AW, over the years I've spent a lot of time on the Puritan Board but recently stopped posting there or reading the threads. Some have said PB represents mirco-Presbyterianism and probably should not be considered representative of the Reformed church at large. Would you agree?

When it all boils down the argument is nothing more then theological navel gazing and both camps agree on the basics of practical presuppositionalism. The rest is academic.

Yeah I noticed, also wanted to give more articles for readers to check out.

Technically, I've been a member at PB since 2005, but I've only been halfway active the past year or two. I'd say you know more a great deal about the happenings there than I do. I do not personally know anyone posting there, and I really would prefer to avoid making judgments. However, I do see Reformed Baptist representatives posting there. Take "Loopie" for example, he's a Reformed Baptist and a Van Tillian. On a different note, I have sensed some unfriendliness towards me there, because of my Van Tillian position. I've also noticed Paul Manta posted there at one time, but for some reason his account was removed or banned or something. I cannot see myself posting there regularly because nothing hurts my feelings more than negative anger, belittling, browbeating from those whom should be closest to me, in theory anyway.

Respectfully, I think there is more to it than that, although I will concede there is more agreement than people from both camps will admit. Fundamentally both could be called "Biblical presuppositionalism", both are concerned with being faithful to God and the Scriptures in method and approach.

Same here.

Same here, again.

I think he posted there while in seminary or working out ideas but has since moved on. If I remember correctly he might be teaching now? Do not quote me on that.

I cannot see myself posting there regularly because nothing hurts my feelings more than negative anger, belittling, browbeating from those whom should be closest to me, in theory anyway.

That's why I moved on.

I've only read his Author of Sin, so I can only speak to about that. But based on what I read there, I'm not really interested in reading more...especially since I barely have time to read much of anything right now.

So yeah, my view if very limited and he could have some good stuff out there.

That's why I moved on.

That's why I never joined....
