  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

God created all of creation, everything we see, in 6 days. Jesus left 2000 years ago to prepare a place for us. It's way beyond anything any of us could comprehend. But I think we also get to see hints and shadows of it now, we may be surprised by some things that were part of this world that will be in the next.

Part of me really can't wait, there's a big part of me that see's people I love who still need the Lord and I don't want to leave them behind. Need some more time to reach out to them. Pretty much Philippians 1:21-26

If a Christian is not looking forward to heaven, then they need to really revaluate their Christianity.

They way I see it... is this. I don't even try to conceptualize the thought of heaven becasue it is a waste of time. That said becasue the most wonderful lavish place on earth is the most vile disgusting sest pool in heaven... our human minds cannot craft 1 cubic inch of the floor of heaven. so I just leave it at that.

All I know is, I hope there's a film room, so I can sit down with God for a day, watch the tape of my life and let him do the Director's Commentary. Or just let me hit pause every now and then and ask "what the heck did THAT happen for?!?" and "What was this person thinking?!?"

I'm hoping that there will be a lot of wide open space - I don't like thinking of heaven as a city with gold streets; I prefer to think of it as having lots of open untouched countryside, sort of how I would imagine Eden to have been but a lot bigger. Maybe with some cities in it for people who like that sort of thing, but with lots of non-city area too. I think about it fairly often and think about stuff that I'd like to do when I get there and I am very much looking forward to it - after I live a long and productive life of course :) Of course it isn't so much heaven that I'm looking forward to as actually meeting Jesus face to face and being able to be physically in His presence. Heaven is just kind of an afterthought compared to how much I'm looking forward to that.

When I think of heaven I often think of the next one mostly (Rev 21). You see this Heaven will pass away but the next one will be the best. When I think of Jesus preparing a place for us now, I mostly think of it as reference to our eternal bodies that we will occupy. The new Heaven and the New earth will be something though. I often think of lush forests, spectacular mountains and friendly animal life. Lots of things to do and places to go. And all roads lead to the throne room of God.

Heaven is a place where there is no such thing as hate, weeping, sadness. But all of heaven is with golden streets and mansions built just for us. As Jesus has never, ever played favorites with people. No matter what they have done, who they are, or what they have said in the past. If we accept him as Savior and Lord and repent and ask for forgiveness of our sins. Then we are going to heaven. As there is happiness, laughter, as well as Jesus himself. But also most of all, we get to see what God looks like since Jesus knows what his Father looks like.
