Video Game issue: Instant Hell Murder

Praise be to Christ.

This is my first post, so please don't be upset if this isn't 100% the right area. I believe it is, as I was raised with strict moral Christian values.

Recently, I purchased a Playstation 3 for my children for doing exceptional in school and Bible study. I knew right away I was going to have to keep an eye on it constantly to make sure they didn't get ahold of any games or materials that were not Christ-like. So I educated myself, learned about the ratings, and they have a strict 1 hour a day limit if they continue to do well in school and keep up to speed with their Bible Study.

Recently, I decided to join their support forums so I had more information on the system and the games on it. I saw a post that had been edited by a moderator for content, and the name of the sony admin was "shungokusatsu." I thought to myself "what a cute name, I bet it's Japanese!" So I looked for it on Google.

What I found horrified me. "shungokusatsu" translates into English as "Instant Hell Murder." It appears to be a common video game term attributed to a violent fighting game series "Street Fighter." However, this forum is full of impressionable children (not my own, mind you, the internet is strictly for school work) who actually look up to this guy.

I'm really upset, and confused, and I'm unsure what to do. I don't wish for he/she to be fired, but that name is NOT appropriate for children. Even parents of non-Christian children would be upset by this. I'm unsure if I should proceed with calling them, writing a letter, or what. I need some support from other followers of Christ, what should I do?

If someone chooses to call themselves something that some may consider derogatory why would that be a major concern? Certainly only a few could even know what that name means, which would make it meaningless to the vast majority of those who read it. And frankly I don't see that this name connotes anything worse than the name of satan or lucifer yet those names are used regularly. I believe you are making more of this that is necessary. You can't shield people from reality forever and at some point it is necessary to just deal with it. That should make this an opportunity to teach and educate not cover and shield.

Never trust online translator sites. For example, I translated ƒgƒˆƒ^Ž©“®ŽÔŠ”Ž®‰ïŽÐ ƒOƒ[ƒoƒ‹ƒTƒCƒg out of boredom, and it translated the Toyota Camry as the "Toyota Back Hole". In reality, Camry = Kanmuri = "Crown" in Japanese.

Not to mention, I played Street Fighter as a little kid, and never knew what "Shungokusatsu" translated to. If I did, it wouldn't have had any kind of negative effect on me at any point, then or now.

Nobody thinks that this guy is some sort of cult leader who advocates hell and murder just because that's his username. They just know by the name that he's a fan of Street Fighter.
