  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Help,,please!

I know absolutely zilch about video cameras.
I would like to buy a not too expensive one
to take on vacation. I will be recording a concert
and a Jewish wedding which usually involves
a lot of action and crazy dancing....so I need
something that has decent sound and picture.
(these are just for me, they don't need to be
professional quality).

Any suggestions on brands to buy, and
features to look for?
And is it better to go with the ones that record
directly onto discs, or ones that use tape?
If you use the little cassettes, do you have to
transfer the images on a larger tape to watch it
in your VCR? How is that done?
If you use discs, is there no way to edit them?
(and can you edit the tapes?)
Can you play the discs directly in your
computer or dvd player?

Thanks for any help you can give me, as again
I know absolutely nothing about them!
