  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Lord… we come to You on Veteran’s day praising Your goodness. We thank You, our Creator and our very real Strength, for the wonderful country You have given to us… and for those brave and patriotic men and women who have served her so faithfully.

We lift them up to You Lord, this day… that You, along with us, might share memories of their sacrifices and of their willingness to serve the greater good.

We also want to thank You Lord, for the many outstanding men and women who serve today. We give You thanks for their sense of duty to God and Country… and for their courage in taking their own place in line during this time of national emergency!

We thank You Lord for all these good men and women, past and present, who never let their own problems get in the way of keeping our country and it’s people safe and secure.

So Lord, we come to you asking, from our hearts… that You would honor our past heroes and protect our present ones.

We ask Your Devine guidance for our leaders, both civilian and military… and we promise that when You do Your part Lord, we will do ours.

We shall continue to honor all of these brave Americans (and some other nationalities who just love this country) past and present, for their part in keeping the United States of America free and safe. Lord, we honor then today. Let Your blessings and mercy shine upon them. Let Your banner carry us all to the final victory.

And Lord, never let us forget what they have done… and continue to do… for all of us. We give You praise… in all things and ask Your blessings.

Amen

"If you are able, save for them a place inside
of you and save one backward glance when
you are leaving for the places they can no
longer go.

Be not ashamed to say your loved them, though
you may or may not have always. Take what
they have taught you with their dying and keep
it with your own.

And in that time when men decide and feel safe
to call war insane, take one moment to
embrace those gentle heroes you left behind.

O God, by whose mercy the faithful departed find rest, look kindly on your departed veterans who gave their lives in the service of their country. Grant that through the passion, death, and resurrection of your Son, they may share in the joy of your heavenly kingdom and rejoice in you with your saints forever. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Almighty God
We stand before you in supplication,
Asking Your Divine mercy and protection,
To envelop with Your invincible armor,
Our loved ones in all branches of the service.

Give them courage and strength
Against all enemies,
Both spiritual and physical,
And hasten their safe journey,
Back to their homes and families.

If it be Your Holy Will
That they be gathered to Your bosom,
With the eternal vanguard of the saints,
Let their journey to Your everlasting arms
Be swift and painless,
Where they may stand in honor and glory,
Praising You for all eternity.

Amen.

Amen and Amen.

I am not consistent at this - but I try to always thank folks who are either actively serving or have served via th military. Sadly sometimes I can tell they don't hear that all too often. May I suggest that as opportunity allows - we all do this.
